Default Sleeping Aid

For the past few months I haven't been able to fall asleep untill the wee hours of the morning (6am-9am). At first I thought it was the kick of creatine after a late night workout, but the past few weeks I haven't taken it after a workout and still have the same results. No matter how much or little sleep I get I still am up this late. Should I go to a doctor? Or should I consider taking a sleeping pill untill I can fix this habbit?

Something like Melatonin or ZMA can help you hit the sack, you can find them at any supplement store and both of them are pretty cheap.

After taking it for a few days I noticed that I have been going to bed earlier 10pm-11pm. But I also noticed I have been waking up around 5am everyday I take it. Once I wake up I have a huge energy rush and can't get back to bed.

I had the same problem with ZMA alone but then I added Melatonin and Valerian root. Now I just use ZMA and Valerian roots. It seemed as though the melatonin was just to much. I dunno if it was in my head or just coinicidence but I was groggy the next morning after taking all three.

I get mine from bulk nutrition and use 3 capsules 30 min before bed that comes out to 10.5 mg B-6m, 450mg Magnesium Aspertate, and 30 mg Zinc.

It also seems to help if you sit down and relax at least 30 min before bed, an hour if you can spare. I also cut off water 1.5 hrs before bed.

I would just avoid the melatonin truthfully. It's a powerful hormone that is bound to have a whole lot of underlying physiological effects. It is meant to be balanced in you body in order to regulate the circadian rhythm. It is no wonder that some people are going to end up awake and wired early. Hell some people take it just to reset their clock so they can stay awake at night. It helps some people and makes things worse for others.

But to me the big thing is you're taking a substance that we don't even understand or know what all it does in the body. It may have good effects but it may just as well have a lot of bad ones. There is lot's of information on the supposed benefits of it but the fact is it's full implications are not fully understood.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
