I understand what your saying Kimm, my girlfriend wont come into weights room cus some guys look at her as if to say women shouldnt be there. And im talking about the kind of guys that spend 2 hours every day of the week doing bicep curls and nothing else.

Well I hope your g/f ignores it and goes straight for the weights. I find too many women get intimidated and are afraid to take that 1st step. Women need to realize that in order to get the best results, weight training is crucial in any kind of program!

I find that this unwanted competition is especially prevelent in people that have ILS and a small dick :D

One time someone pulled that shit with me while I was deadlifting. He assumed that I was doing single reps because it was heavy, meanwhile I was really just acclimating during my warmup. Needless to say he looked like a humpback whale around 275lbs and couldn't even hang onto 315, but by then I was about done my warmup :biglaugh:

I think there were complaints made by a number of women (and rightly so) so they do group classes for women which she loves.

some people may have different ways to motivate themselves. or he's just trying to stroke his ego.

dont worry about those dudes. people are dumbassed. while they are watching you they could be finishing another set. i pay attention to no one (except for the women, but i stare subtly :)). i have my own workout to do, and i only have a certian amount of time to rest in between each set. while they stare i will be approaching my goals. while they get stuck

or maybe he wants to stroke your "ego."

I've noticed it. I don't care much, but I sometimes do a near-max rep to make em knock it off. Of course, there are a lot of people that are stronger than me.
