Default what annoys you most?

well i have a few things that annoy me in perticular in my gym im curious to see what gets on everyone else's nerves. The first thing that annoys me most is people who wear denim pants to the gym (not to sure why on this one, lol it kind of makes then look unseriously how can u train in denim pants) then bad music, and last is people who go to the gym and then mess around on the machines (obviously messing around, not just inexperienced) I figure with a thread like this everyone can post what they hate most, and it would lead to everyone having better "gym etiquette"

1. I'm in CA, so I see alot of people wearing flip flops to the gym. Pisses me off.
2. Listening to Britany Spears in my bullshit gym trying to squat...Or anything else for that matter.
3**This one everyone will feel me on. My gym has the weights lined up from least to greatest. I hate it when some douche bag takes the bench closest to the heavy weights and does iso curls with 25's when I have to lug the 125's all the way across the gym to the other bench!

Jeez, where to start?

(in no particular order)

1. Packs of kids coming in and using all the stations I want to use (they always seem to be one exercise ahead of me)
2. People who are accessory freaks. That is, people who always wear a lifting belt, wrist wraps, gloves and lifting straps all the time, even when doing like kick backs or something.
3. People who give unsolicited advice.
4. PEOPLE WHO DON'T PUT THE WEIGHTS BACK!!!
5. SEE # 4
6. People who stand right next to me and have inane conversations as I'm bustin ass trying to get that last rep.
7. The locker room after the kids from # 1 are done with it--smells like Axe.
8. People who spend 50 bucks a month just to use the treadmill three times a week. (I don't necessarily hate this, I just don't understand it).
9. People who don't bring a towel and wipe the bench when they are done with it.
10. SEE #'S 4 & 5
11. People who wear sandals and/or jeans.

hmmm so many responses to this one so ill put in my reponse to everyone...

wantingmuscle i have to say ive done this but only to spot my freinds when they catch me as im leavin (usually not a good idea when im tired but if theres no one else) to

0311 flip flops to the gym oh man i dont know what i would do i just hate it when people wear stupid stuff (denim pants lol) one rule in most gyms that i dont really agree on is wearing no work boots (i guess so people dont bring in mudd and stuff) sometimes when im at my house i like to wear them when i workout i dunno mostly during leg day but as i think about it flip flops when your squating wouldnt be bad or just thin slippers becuase u can get lower to the floor but im sure most of the people who wear them arent wearing them for that purpose. and with your #3 well i just cant relate to that since ive never had to deal with weights that high...yet and your second post #1 ive never had to deal with that yet either and i really hope i never have to

bradG..ive noticed #2 often and it annoys me too i see this guy who wears these wrist wraps everyday.....its weird and theres also the people with the belts on constantly. #9 is disgusting especially if they workout right after cardio

i hate them both but especially the second one...its not that bad with most plates but then there is no room left on the tree (for any more plates as in the plates are just at the edge of the bar) and then u have to take the plate off. its a science....if you move the plate a little bit out it falls either on your foot or on the floor and you look like an idiot so u have to bend over and move it slowely with your finger tips on the sides definatly annoying

Talking Hmmmm....

(some of mine are the same as other peoples, so bare with the repetition)

1. Guys that don't wipe up their sweat off of equipment.

2. Guys that tell me that I must try their routine or some new workout, because they just know that it will work for me.

3. Guys that do 20 sets (not including 10 warm up sets) until failure with tiny weights, and pose in the mirror after ever set. These guys are usually about 120 lbs, and travel in groups of 2, with another ChaChi that is encouraging them the whole time "one more man! one more rep! you can squeeze out one more!". Note: I compare these guys to the old ladies that play Nickel slot machines at my local casino. They make a lot of noise on the machines, take up space for hours and hours, but the pay out is always going to be next to nil.

4. Gyms that aren't 24 hours or close to it.

5. This one dude in my gym that comes in first thing in the morning. Hangs out for about 2 or 3 hours talking to everyone. Goes home. Comes back a couple of hours later and hangs out again until dinner time. He repeats this until about 1am. I've been going to the same gym for almost 2 years and I've seen the guy work out one time. He did a quick couple of sets of bench press. Turned out he's very strong and he's a pretty big guy. He's gotta be juicing it big time! Someone told me once that those 2 hours or so that he's gone a couple of times a day are spent at another local gym, where he just walks around talking to power lifters!!!

6. Guys that walk in to the sauna room buck naked. Particularly when I am alone in there. Wait.....this happens to other people right?????!!!???

7. Guys that ask me (usually rooks) if I'm done with a machine yet....after my first set!

8. Hot women that have the nerve to come to my gym -they always dress really provocatively and always seem to be doing some form of "bent over row"- that give you dirty looks when you hover over them or start masterbating while they work out. Probably lesbians.

9. Hot men that have the nerve to come to my gym - they always dress really provocatively and always seem to be.........wait.......ummm...I meant Brittany Spears music. :o

10. When they suspend me from the gym because I've passed out trying to go too heavy on squats, deadlifts, leg press or cardio. Haven't they ever heard of "go heavy or go home"??? Geez. For the record, I've only been suspended for fainting twice. Unfortunately they both happened in the same month and they threatened to ban me permanently if I wasn't more careful!
