That's what has confused me for a while. A lot of guys that are into training still prefer a woman that has more fluff and less muscle. There are tons of pro male BB's that I know that still don't want a woman that has much muscle at all. It just strikes me as odd when there are men that want to be big and muscular that still think it's 'gross' for a woman to have some muscle.

I don't think I'll ever understand it

To me, being that I'm in the fitness industry, I find women that are 'skinny-fat' or just scrawny to be not so attractive. I like athleticism in a woman's body.

And no, peanut gallery, I'm not a lesbian Men only here. But a fit woman is a beautiful thing (hell, my job revolves around it too haha).

On the topic of women, I very often find toned, even muscular women attractive. This got me thinking...how come you don't (at least not me) see female bbers that are very big, like some of the IFBB champs? Not enough sponsorship interest??

You'd love it at the Gold's in Venice then...

The boy I'm dating now might not be as big as a Ronnie, Jay, or Wolfe, but he's got some awesome veins. Especially in his forearms. Those things are always sticking out. I love that.

I don't know what it is about vascularity, but it's freaking hot to me

There are. And there isn't much interest there. That's why they're getting away from female BB. Or trying to change the "desired" physique because it's not deemed to be as attractive. I think that the same is true in figure competitions to a degree...bigger isn't always better. Check out Dave Palumbo's wife....

That's a very controversial subject in the industry right now.

This year the IFBB and the NPC have been actually enforcing their '20% rule' which means that all female competitors (regardless of class) should cut muscle down by 20%.

This has been geared mainly towards the FBB's, since the way they've been over the last few years has been deemed 'unmarketable.'

I can see the point, since a lot of the women from MW and up are considered by the general public to be 'too big' and 'too masculine.'

But still, even though I don't want to get that big myself, I have great admiration for what those women have had to do.

Anyway, I digress...

The market nowadays is for the 'softer' Figure athlete. There's more appeal to the public, and more women willing to enter competition at that level since it seems 'easy' (yeah fucking right it is). But when it comes to the NPC and the IFBB, the cash cow is the Figure girl right now. And the more they try to soften up the Figure gals, the more people they get watching, competing, and buying into the advertising = $$$$.

FBB's, they just don't generate the cash flow like the NPC and IFBB would like to see.
