Today was one of those days... real bad. Skipped out on everything else after the big 3. Was glad to still see progression on the bench, though it was tough.

Squats: 230 keep. almost died.
Bench: 5x5 165 up 5
DL: 335 keep. almost died again.

glad you didn't actually die :) good work man.

No dying allowed :)

It's time to do something else with the overheads too. I'm an idiot for letting them go unchanged this long, probably could have been a lot farther by now. After the time off and recovery I'm still missing a rep at this weight, so yeah.. 5x5 time. In terms of running/cycling/lifting I overtrained this week, so did a light day on squats.

Squats: 205
Overheads: ugh.
Rows: 185 up 5. Form was slightly less horny mammal-esque today...
Pullups: doing push/pull drills later
Hammers: 2x8 50lb keep for form
Tris/abs: done

No lifting today.. waayyyy too busy with end of the semester crap. Next week will be interesting as well, another PFT coming up and some, ahh, end of semester celebrations...

widdoes2504 04-15-2008 04:45 AM

Enjoy the celebrations :biglaugh:

Si Senor

Deads seem... well... dead. For as long as I've been on this program I'm wondering if I should try another reset or just do something else, possibly leaning towards the latter. If I reset I wouldn't even reach back to full load before leaving for OCS (5 weeks). Any input is welcome. Also stopped using the belt on every set of squats so Eric will stop whining :biglaugh:
Really though... learned some good stuff from his post, decided to do it this way. Hence why my squats are a bit lower

Squat: 215 up 5
Bench: 5x5 170 up 5
DL: 335 hmm..
Pullups: bodyweight. 1x21, few push/pull sets afterward
Bi curl: 2x8 w/ 50lb, inc reps
Tris and abs: done

widdoes2504 04-17-2008 03:50 AM

First, well done on no longer relying so much on the belt for squats. Second, I think a reset on the deads may help you out, even in the short term, rather than being stuck on the wall so to speak. Good luck!! :weights:

No squats today (obviously) and I didn't have much time, so I tossed in some bench and some rows.

Bench: 5x5 at 175 epic fail. Missed the 4th rep of the 4th set. keep.
Rows: 190 first set (the whale was back), dropped it down to 185. try 190 again
Bis/Tris: done.
