Well, when I say it's "fine" I mean there is no pain. I will of course be careful but I've had all sorts of temporary knee problems in the past plus a badly sprained right knee.

Oh, and Widdoes, sorry to hear about your knee probs as well.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

Eric, i just tried doing free hand bulgarian squats and it does hurt. infact, when i squat normal, if i push my knees out it doesnt hurt at all but if i bring them close then it hurts. :(

Yeah, I thought so. You need to make sure you keep the knees out in line when you're dong the bulgarians. I'd take them out and switch to step-ups anyway. It's good not to plug away on one thing for endless months. If uni stuff in general bothers you then drop it for a bit. I would wonder if the adductors are overpowering the abductors and pulling you out of line. And of course quad imbalances, etc....

Well, I don't know. Variety is good when it comes to this kind of thing. I understand the temptation but the goal is not to become good at everything. You will of course slowly but surely become better at all the various things but don't have that as a goal. Use these things to support you main movements and keep things in balance, etc...

ok...i hope this isnt something serious. shit. in any case, im resting today. if i feel up to it ill do squats tomorrow. since im gonna be doing box squats i dont think it'll be too much of a problem.

sir: 2 questions:

1.) i should swap bulgarian squats with step -ups? for 2 sets of 6-8 like how i do for bulgarians?

2.) on MP Day, i mentioned this...im getting bored of EDT training. think i should stick to it for a little longer or should i move on from there to something else, sir?

Before everyone starts going, oooh, so much volume, look at the total reps and consider that Anuj's best MP so far is around 160. It's only around 16 "working" reps. The beauty of it is that almost half of them are in the 90% or over range. If Anuj had listed "5x3" nobody would likely have noticed
Your right, it really isnt any more volume, I was looking at sets and rest time, and total workout time. I'm never in the gym more then an hour, but I'm lazy too so that accounts for some of that.

Yeah, it's the illusion of writing it all out. When your get into the serious high intensity stuff it do take some time. But then again the EDT stuff takes up a certain block of time also.

You're lucky in a way, though Hrdgain. One of my problems is pulling myself away. It's like I have no off switch once I get going. But not in a good way. It's like when my body should be saying "you've had enough" I feel invigorated. But I will say that as soon as I stopped adhering to this no more than an hour rule my results have always been better. The time of the workout should be matched to the goals of the workout.
