hrdgain81 07-17-2008 07:23 AM

I'll do my best to answer all of your questions, but if I miss any please let me know.

Dave, news paper proof is a good idea, we will have to do that. the judging will be done by both wieght and measurements. We are not going to go by bodyfat because it wouldnt be fair. When you see our stats you'll understand, also at this point I dont believe Jeff is concerned with muslce loss either. I'll let him speak to that when he gets his ass on here and posts.

Pity and everyone, I know there could be some biasing, since ya'll love me so much hahhaa. But try to keep it fair, besides, the numbers wont lie!

Slayer, I'm going to do a full write up on the diet I plan to use when I have more time this weekend. in the mean time, its based off of what many have been doing here. BWx15 for maint cals, then I'm going to use a small deficit (200-300 cals), and drop it little by little as I lose. macros will be in the 50/25/25 range for p/f/c.

Hey all,

I am excited to be taking on this challenge. It will finally settle a long standing debate between myself and HrdGain.

I will have my stats and plans listed on Monday and I look forward to hearing everyones thoughts.

Thanks for all the welcomes

So lets get this started ...

Stats:
age: 26
ht: 5'11"
wt: 254lbs

Measurements:

Thigh (taken 6" above the knee) 25"
waist 44"
Gut (taken around the love handles and across belly button) 47.5"
Chest (taken around the nips) 50.5"
Arms (cold unflexed) 16.5"

*Note - all of these were taken by myself, so there is some room for error, and I just woke up and got of bed so they are all cold numbers.

Diet:

Will consist of a 50/25/25 split for P/C/F

Cals are calculated like this

254lbs X 15 = 3810
initial deficit = 300
Total Cals + 3510

macro break down
P = 476
C = 219
F = 97

The plan is to adjust the cals downward slowly as I begin to trim off fat. I may adjust the carb to fat ratio slightly as well, we will see how things go.

I will be eating 7-8 meals a day, and I will outline a full day of eating each week so you can get an idea of what I'm consuming.

Training:

I'm going to continue with the kettlebell training, but I'm going to switch the focus to get more of a cardio effect. I'm going to incorperate more complex(s) type movements, and go a little higher with the rep ranges then I have been. I'm also going to include some non-weighted movments for martial arts purposes like shadow boxing, and lots and lots of streching.

Last, and certainly least important ...

Supps:

I want this to be a fair assessment between what Im' doing and what jeff's doing. So I wont be using any stims or fatburners at all. I will only use staple supps, and of course cordyceps. Here is the list

Whey (ON gold standard)
BCAA's (both bulk, and xtend)
Fish oil
Sesamin
cordyceps

If you guys have any questions let me know.

I am excited for the battle to begin....

My Stats:

age: 25
height: 6'3
weight: 358

measurments: Will add tonight.

Diet:

I currently have a vegetarian (lacto-ovo) diet, which I plan to maintain throughout the challenge. My overall plan is based on what I consider a common sense approach. I am not going to count calories or eat a set number of meals a day. I am going to eat three squares a day and if anything lean towards smaller portions. My typical diet consists of mostly eggs, beans, nuts, salads, assorted fruits and veggies, I will be trying to cut out junk foods like pizza.

While I appreciate nutrition and food sciences I feel my commons sense approach will yield me the results I want.

Training:

I currently work out four days a week and will be upping that to five.

My regular workout schedule is:
Swimming (30 laps, freestyle stroke) 2 days
yoga 1 day
hiit cardio (usually on elliptical) 2 days a week
standard cardio (jogging or elliptical) 2 days a week
weight training 2 days a week
