Your meal spreadsheet is quite fancy, while you were planning and recording your meals I was busy eating a healthy lunch and working out.

so it would appear its time for some adjustments to my calorie intake

wt: 258 (+4lbs)
although no visable changes, and measurements are the same. I'm thinking this may be water from the increased amount of carbs, but that really doesnt matter as I'm now 4lbs heavier.

I'm going to rework my numbers and post up cals and macros again.

original numbers

Quote:
Diet:

Will consist of a 50/25/25 split for P/C/F

Cals are calculated like this

254lbs X 15 = 3810
initial deficit = 300
Total Cals + 3510

macro break down
P = 476
C = 219
F = 97
Rough average of daily intake

Quote:
Totals Cals 3514
fat 157g
Carbs 155g
Pro 352g
I would think that overall cals as apposed to macro breakdown is what needs to be adjusted here. I'm thinking another 300 calorie drop on workout days, and roughly 500 cal drop on non-workout days should put me in the right range. So the new numbers would look like this.

Workout days:
Totals Cals 3200
fat 88g
Carbs 200g
Pro 400g

None days:
Totals Cals 3000
fat 83g
Carbs 187g
Pro 375g

I'm not so worried about macro break down at this point, as all my carbs and fats are coming from good sources for the most part.

Are you weighing your food or estimating based on labels? Go to your local Target/Walmart and buy a cheap $4 scale. You'll be surprised at how much/little you're actually eating based on those label claims!

^ x2 . It makes a HUGE difference and make sure all food is measured uncooked. I made the mistake of cooking first and my calories were off (higher) by a couple hundred.

^^ I dont weigh any of my food, I've been going off what labels and fit day says. I dont know that weighing my food is even an option really, well for the 2-3 meals I have at home it is, but everything else is bought ready to eat.
