Anyways, I'm driving to work when my wife tells me to hurry up and call me mom cause it's important and it has to do something with the Marines..

At this point I was thinking, "Oh shit, sounds like I'm being recalled!" So I frantically call her up and ask is going on? She starts SLOWLY reading it and I'm getting impatient. Finally get it out of her. All it said was that I was required next month to go active duty for a day to redo all my medical and personal records somewhere in MA. God, I was fucking pissed at her!!

Anyways, for some reason the Marines still think I live in MA even though I told them a million fucking times I moved to CA. Long story short, I called them up and got the shit fixed. So I should have a smooth final six months of Inactive reserve status before I wash my hands clean from the service.

Now I'm going to get her back somehow without giving her a heart attack.
I hate when mothers over react like that.

DE Squat/Deadlift was one of my best day's strength wise. I used the light bands for DE box squats with 225 on the bar for my 8 x 2 timed sets. Last week I used 245 lbs without bands. I had tremendous speed today, so much so that I'm going with the 245 next week with the bands.

I tried triple wrapping the bands around the bottom of the powerrack for DE Deadlifts. Tons of tension. Unfortunately, the powerrack wasn't bolted down so after all that work wrapping the bands and putting 225 on the bar was a waste. I lifted the whole rack up. So after another 10 minutes of wasted time removing the bands, I put 365 on the bar and did my 6 x 1 timed sets. Again, super fast. Maybe I'll increase more for next week.

Afterwards I did some DB Swings supersetted with weighted hypers, banded abs pulldowns, and some other bullshit.

ME BENCH: Fucking kicked ASS!

Today I did some reverse band bench press for a 1 RM. Sweet exercise. I choked the bands on the top of the power rack, then put the bar in. Didn't know what to expect with these. After warmups I started with 315 x 5, 365 x 3, 405 x 2 which was pretty difficult. The bands aren't a tremendous help, that's for sure. Basically, off the chest until about 1/3 of the way up it isn't too bad, but from that point on it's fucking really hard. To put it in perspective, the bar w/out weight in the bands came down just above where I lockout. So it doesn't help hardly at all up top, especially with a fuckload of weight. Anyways, I nailed 435 x 1 no problem w/out a spot. My final set I got 455 x 1! Felt like a beast. Afterwards I did a drop set of 365 x 6.

After than I had JM Presses. I figured since I'm already set up, I'll do my JM's reverse banded as well. Afterwards my triceps were smoked. From there I did the usual, JS Rows, shoulder presses, ect. My final exercise I used the bands again and slung them over the power rack and did sets of 20 rep pressdowns to get the blood flowing. Felt like someone lit a match on my arms.

^^^^ Not without a shirt or something.

ME Squat/Deadlift was tough as always. Glad it's behind me this week. Added another 10 lbs for Olympic Squats to 385 lbs. I attempted 405 which I was going up, but I was too tired from the previous set. Next time I'll smoke it since I'll build up for it without wasting energy. I also did a drop set with 80% of that. 300 x 8 full reps.

Deadlifts I warmed up a lot better for than last time. I just did 315 x 5, 405 x 1, then attempted my new PR of 475 x 1 and got it no problem this time. Next time I'm going to go for an even 500.

Accessory exercises afterwards and did some banded abs pulldowns. My legs are already sore as shit from the O-squats. Next week I'll most likely be doing parallel squats which I'll definately smoke past 400.

Looking forward to ME Bench day. Get to bring in all my boards for a 2 board press, then a 4 board to further light up my triceps.

I started reading your journal. Very impressive man, shit I can only dream of those kinds of lifts...I will read it all soon. Since I'm new I will check out a few others.

And thanks for the remarks and info.

Felt sick today. Woke up after another stellar 5 hours sleep (after a 12 hour night shift) and had a really bad stomach ache. Felt as though I starved myself for a week and my stomach was eating itself. Started drinking a gulp of milk every few minutes and it seemed to die down.

So I got to the gym a little late which sucks. DE Bench day still went good. Banded speed bench was still fast. Did some standing OHP's (strict) with 205 for 3 x 5 and made it. After that I did a few sets of 10 incline DB presses with 105's. Weighted pullups, pulldowns, and some chest-supported rows to follow. I started feeling sick/weak by the second set of rows. So I supersetted the last set of rows with pressdowns using the stack to finish my triceps at the very least.

Pretty happy with today. Aside from being sick, I was still able to go to the gym and STILL get the job done. In the end, all I missed was biceps, some triceps, and shoulder prehab bullshit. I would've been pissed had I missed today!

I feel you man. I'm a little under the weather myself. Makes it that much harder to workout but if you come out of the gym without hurting yourself from being too tired, then it makes it that much more worth it.
