Hey D, I know you are managing with your pec but if you are not still doing it continue to massage and work over the area as much as possible. If you have any questions about how to do this let me know but it's the main thing (more than stretching) that will help break down any scar tissue and adhesions, etc. Will make a big difference in the long run. This kind of thing has been the main thing that has helped me get rid of a lot of my little nagging problems like your pec.

Good job dropping the weight!

Thanks brotha! Yeah, I took just under two weeks OFF from the gym which completely deloaded me and my pec is/will be 100%. Good chance to just not mess with it at all and allow nature to take it's course for the longest layoff I've ever had.

Back from vacation. Left weighing 237 lbs.. Then, lol, ate and drank my way up to 244 lbs, which I thought would be a lot worse after vacation. I tried hard to fit in all of Sam Adam's Octoberfest before it's pulled from the shelves. Can't forget to mention the chinese food on the east coast is killer!

Counting a few days before my vacation onward, I missed a total of 11 days in the gym which wasn't a bad thing IMHO. Completely deloaded, that's for damn sure. But, I'm also extremely RE-motivated which I've been up and down with previously. I think the best part would be that my pec is back to 100%, and my first day back in the gym I didn't have a problem with 315 for 3 sets of 3. I've lost some strength, but nothing bad.

Saturday I just started WSB again for a few months! True upper, lower split filled with all the fun stuff I've missed (speed days, bands, gluteham, ect). Pretty sore after the past few days, but nothing major. The volume is scaled back since I'm still obviously cutting down. Same with my percentages for both DE and ME work since it's a big mistake to be as aggressive as I was back when I was at 4,000 cals! :lame:

Other than that, I'm planning on hitting the gym a lot more often every week for cardio. Today I woke my ass up earlier than usual (being that I'm OFF from lifting) and hit up some HIIT. Felt terrific. First time EVER walking into the gym for only cardio, then walking out 30 minutes later lmao! I'm up to 10 minute intervals which is getting easier and easier.

For supplements lately, I haven't been pounding the protein like usual. Just kinda saving what I have left until payday when I make my next $100 purchase to trueprotein. I think this time I'm investing in less protein and buying a tub of BCAA's instead. Cheaper and more effective for what I'm after. With all the days of cardio and weightlifting, I'm looking to lower my powdered protein to 5 scoops nontraining, 6 scoops training days whenever they are needed in conjunction with all my food. The BCAA's are in place of my protein and taken preworkout, and again just before I finish my final sets. Mainly it's due to my protein being comprised of casein and whey which I'm using to beef up my protein intakes with meals and before bed. Casein isn't the best choice around the workout, right Eric!? :biglaugh:

Nearing the end of week two WSB. Back down to 235 lbs, which leads me to believe that my initial weight after vacation might have had some good bloating goin' on lol. Anyway, started a few months back at 248ish, so 13 lbs ain't too shabby.

Strength continues climbing, making improvements weekly. Box squats have been around the 350's for reps, and deadlifts in the 500 range for triples. Started up decline barbell presses for the first time in at least 5 years lol as an ME exercise. I like the change a lot. It's tough as hell to get used to, but the upside is I can load up the bar!

12 minutes of HIIT tomorrow after I wake up. After that, a nice day off to rest. :) Well, that and going to my supplement store to pick up some protein, creatine, fish oil, and dextrose. :D I've been off of creatine for about 6 weeks now, so the extra boost will bode well for some increased strength.

You must have a nice sup store being able to get all the basics there.

Darkhorse 11-06-2007 03:40 PM

Yeah, it's a private one in Laguna Hills. Of course there's a lot of bullshit supps there, but they have an entire wall devoted to NOW products alone! :D Same prices as bulknutrition, and free shipping to anyone in the area. Maybe every so often I'll hit up the clearance rack for something dirt cheap to try, but for the most part, I can get everything I need in one trip. Prolab creatine is only $20 which'll last me two months. Dextrose is $3, and the Beverly International vitamin/mineral packets are only $20 for a months' worth. The only thing I go somewhere else for (Costco) is their fish oil.

I tried using TP as I always do a few days ago, but they were having trouble with the shipping due being backed up w/ the fires. So it looks like I'll hit up my store for a 10 lb bag of ON 100% whey for $60.

EricT 11-06-2007 04:11 PM

That is sweet. I would love to have a place like that to go to and not have to pay shipping.
