no not really....im kinda curious about this as well...

EZ, i know we know each other and i can ask you this question the next time we meet, but:

are your squats really that deep?? 265 for 5x5 means your 5RM is hovering around 315-325 on a conservative level which makes your 1RM equal somewhere in the realm of 365+ easy....that could actually be a texas state record, dude....in the raw category. are you sure your squats are deep?

you know, this is totally off topic, but i see so many other journals (not necessarily out here on bb.net but just generally) where guys who are weak (like me) and are struggling feel so bogged down by others who are pulling 700+ and squatting 500+ that they give way to bad form and other mistakes....i know that sometimes i have felt like that too but ive had to work on mental discipline to keep myself from doing silly things like that....i know that if i cheat or do something stupid today, i might have to pay for that mistake many years from now and in no way do i want that..

in any case: nice lifting these days...im sorry you couldnt lift during spring break..i went to Dallas with some friends and we went to the LA Fitness center for a day...i saw a dude pull 700. it was damn impressive. he used wrist wraps not wrist straps. i wonder why...

Erics comment wasn't rude I am just assuming it was for a different journal since I don't have any videos and he was commenting on depth. I could be misinterpreting the post though

From watching your squat videos in the past I would have to say they prolly aren't as deep as yours but I am pretty sure they are around/past parellel. Can't say how deep exactly since I don't have any on video.
Maybe sometime we can squat together and you can check my form. I am sure my form could use some critiquing.

I highly doubt my max is anywhere near 365+ yet and pretty sure the state records are a lot higher. I've seen and know people squating a lot.

A 700 pull is very impressive must have been awesome to see in person.

So I decided I am going to do the DFT 5x5 as posted by 0311 in training section on here...

4/6/08
Squat-245 5x5
Bench-190 5x5
JS Rows-145 5x5 (First time ever doing JS Rows)
Did not do accesory tricep or abs.

Reason for not doing triceps was because my inner left arm hurt for some reason. My body physically is like I am an old man lately, I hurt my left leg on my last squating work out cuz I am an idiot so I was careful today and its definitely better see how it feels tomorrow.
On top of that I prolly have mono which could explain the feeling so bad physically.
Only good news is I have quit drinking for the rest of semester.

4/9/08 Wednesday

Squats-225 5x5
Standing Press-120 5x5
Deadlift-235 3x5
Pull ups-did not do
Biceps(Hammer Curls DB)-45,50,55-8,8,6

Well wish there was an edit button... turns out just have the flu and not mono or atleast thats what it seems for now.

I was sore from the last work out still today and being sick I felt like I could barely walk to the gym so I was surprised I got the 225 5x5 so easily, thast the reason for the 20 lbs less this work out just sick.
The 120 5x5 was easy should have attempted more weight and the reason for only doing 3 and not the full 5 sets/no pull ups is my back is in pain right now just from the 3 and I have 2 soccer games tonight double header so I wanted to be able to move a little bit for them.

Hopefully I wont be sick longer and can go 100 % with the routine because I am liking it already a lot and think I can get good results off of this with a lot of hard work and following it fully
