WED

training
DL 325x5
Std MPs 150x5

Diet
Shitty

*Notes*
this wed workout has to change. it feels like a disaster waiting to happen. My lower back is still slightly tweeked from this, so I will have to make some changes. Doing heavy DLs, then going into standing MP's is gonna get me hurt.

so here is what I'm thinking, I'll only actually DL every other week now, and I'll do sitting MP's on those days. Then on off weeks I'll do standing MP's, with straight leg deads. This should keep everything moving in the right direction.

I took off work yesterday because I felt like shit, I'm still feeling kinda shitty, so I may or may not hit the wieghts tonight, we will see.

There is no update from friday, I was still sick on friday, and I didnt hit the gym.

Monday

Training
Squat 275x5
BB Bench 290x5
Rows Machine 180x5 (single arm)

Diet
Still kinda shitty, its tough getting all the wheat/flour out of my diet, but I've been working on it. I'm definately eating enough, and my strength continues to improve, but I'm putting on a little too much chub. I'm gonna have to tweak a little.

*Notes*
Squat felt solid, my lower back rounded a bit on the last rep, but I pushed through with no problem. Bench was odd, i had a slight twinge in my right pec/bi/tri that was nagging me even while I was warming up with 135. It was odd though because it wasnt any worse at 290, just kinda nagging, I'll have to keep a close eye on it.

Since I'm putting on a little extra chub, and summer is rapidly aproaching, I'm gonna throw in some Hiit cardio on tuesdays and thrusdays ... YEAH I LOVE CARDIO

Wed

Training
Standing MP's 165x5
SLDL 185x5
Leg press 360x10

Diet
Getting better, i'm doing my best to keep the gluten out of my diet, this morning was an amazing breakfast of eggs, ham, bacon, and some home fries ... ummmm.

*notes*
The standing MP's were brutal, my shoulders burned so bad after that I was spent, it was great. I'm starting to see some size gains as well as the noted strength gains. My undershirts are starting to fit more snug. I'm not really looking for hypertrophy, but if it happens it happens.

Friday

Training
Front squats 185x5
Incline bench 260x5
Accessory
DB curls 55x8
skull crushers 80x8
wide grip pull ups 2 sets of 4 (my shits weak)

Diet
Consistent, I've had a few comment on how I am slimming down, nice considering i'm eating like a horse.

*Notes*
This wasnt the layed out program for friday, i got a little bored, and i've been noticing that my right bicept, and upper pec have been acting oddly again. I wanted to take it easy on them, and so i went light on incline, but I could still feel a little something wrong.

I switched up to front squats, because for some reason I like them. I need to work on my form though, anything over 185 seems to choke ths shit out of me while i'm squatting. I know i could squat a shit ton more wieght, but the lack of air is holding me back.

All in all a good workout, I was painfully pumped when I left, my arms felt like they were the size of my head.

Monday

Training
squat 280x5
flat barbell 295x5
DB row 80x8

Diet
On point, just finished up a big bowl of whole wheat pasta, chicken, ground beef, and a little tomato sauce ... yum.

*notes*
I am still having some trouble with my right bi, and into my pec. I thought it was because of bench, but I had no trouble with bench today, infact i could have gotten more. I think the prolem is in the high rows i've been doing, so i skipped them, and did some DB's, but that bothered it too. I may have to hold off on the rows for a while.

Tuesday

I did 10min of Hiit jump rope, if you want to call it that. It was half assed mainly because I'm so out of shape. It will get better as time goes on.

Wed

training
Deadlift 340x5
Db shldr press 80x8

*notes*
I didnt have much left in me after deads, they are getting more and more taxing. My back felt like someone hit me with a hammer afterward. I havent done any DB work in forever, I definately undershot big time on shldr press. I thought 80's would be tough but after 5 I just kept going, and I could have done more if I wasnt so exhausted after deads.

Thursday

Training
15 min cardio, warm up then 7 Hiit Style sprints

*Notes*
We have a problem kids, I knew something wasnt right when I started my warm up jog, my lower back was a bit sore, so I eased into it. It loosened up a little, and I did some sprints, about the 5th one I could feel it start to tighten up again. By number seven i had to pack it in, I walked the 8 blocks back to the apartment like freakin frankenstien, it was even hard to get up the steps to my place. Now I relaxed the rest of the night, ate fairly well (a little sushi greatness) and woke up feeling great.

Any ideas on this guys? Its got to be the deadlifts, but I'm not sure how to go about this now. I already dropped them back to once every two weeks, so what do you think? I would hate to drop them from the routine just so I can run, thats some weak shit. let me know what ya'll think.

ok dude, there are a lot of problems u have been outlining and im sorry no one has even responded to them.

let me make a short list (everything is quoted by u):

1.) lower back pain
2.) inability to do deadlifts on a weekly basis
3.) right bi and into ur pec is a problem

ok, now i dont know anything about #3, i can say something about #1:
firstly stopping deadlifts is no biggie. im not gonna be doing deads any more. as long as i do a variation of deads its fine. so i will be doing deadlifts next year at this time.

u mentioned lower back pain: i think u should read up Eric's sticky on that. ice it and warm it. i had lower back pain too. but im fine now.

just my 2C.

get well soon bro

Thanks anuj. Its wierd, I guess you could call it pain, but to me there are a few very odd things going on here.

1. It only happens after deads, even stiff legged deads didnt do this to me, and that hits the lowerback even harder IMO.

2. The pain or discomfort is always gone within a day or so. I think I just agravated it running yesterday, else I wouldnt have even noticed it.

3. It cant be a muscle pull, or anything serious, or it wouldnt subside the way it does. I cant wrap my head around it, how can if feel like that and then just subside over the course of a night.

4. Important to note, I havent used any pain killers for this at all.

Good look anuj.
