If you don't regress on PR day then let that be ok for a bit and then see what you have to do to get them going.
Sorry Eric I must have missed that part of the post!! I dont know how!!

Are you saying to stay at my previous PRs (triples) and try to improve them same as before instead of switching to 5s and trying to set new 5rms?

Gday all
Light day went well today.Squats were feeling great, and press was nice too, last 2 sets were absolute grinders but I got all my reps dammit! Pretty big volume PR for me there.Deadlifts felt good all the way up to my workset, I lost the groove a bit and I think my reps were a tad shaky. My Cam ran out of tape on my last set so I guess I cant view the set to see for my self. so I only got my warmups and acclimation sets on cam. DOH!!

Light Day 7/11/07
Squat 2x5 78.5kg
Press 5x5 39.5kg
Deadlift 1x5 125kg

Ill get a vid up of the deadlifts asap to see if my starting position has improved some.I havent had a chance to read rips section in BBT yet on deadlifts so Im sure there is still some improvements to make.

Hey hopps.
Good stuff with the Press, do you have .5kg plates?
Good to see another vid. The Deads looking better, although it looks like you could arch your back a little more in my opinion. I watched your squat vid again also. What are your warm up sets and work sets on squats and deads? Maybe your warm ups could be slowing you down. Squats are also abit of a warm up for deads.

Marv.

Yeah I Got 0.5kgs plates they are the best!!

Regarding the arch, I know it looks like I ont have an arch, but I do make an effort to try and get my back as tight as possible and keep the chest up, I think it looks rounded cos Im FAT!!! LOL

Ill list my warmups next workout right now I gotta go to work!!

Deads looking better Hopper your shoulders were in front of the bar at the beginning of every rep, which is what you want.
Remember it only takes one bad rep to cause an injury, just try to keep that form.
Talking of 0.5k plates theres a place in the uk that sells 0.5k 0.25k, and 0.125k olympic plates, not cheap though.

Hi peeps

Had a ripper day today set a weight PR in squats, got extra reps on bench and chins, all up sweet!Felt very strong today, maybe it has something to do with the extra cals finally!!

Performance Day
Squat 1x3 105kg (PR)
Bench 1x3 82.5kg (rep PR)
Chin 1x4 BW+17.5kg (rep PR)

Also did 2x10 on the cable rows just for a little extra back work, great feel and pump.

That's awesome. Keep up the good work. Setting PRs is very gratifying. It's amazing what those extra cals will do, isn't it?

Hi guys

Ross IW thx fellas appreciate the support. Its gettin hard but Im tryin!!

Stress day yesterday and what a stressful day it was, worked like a dog all day, had an appointment so I trained late, and hadnt eaten for 6hrs!!, squats felt shit, I dont think my form was 100% today, also I missed 1 rep.Bench felt good until I hurt my shoulder tho, weird my form felt great I must have came loose.Fuck its sore today right where the front delt is.Missed on chins again, could have been that I was tired from squats and bench, but either way Ill go to 3x5 next week as Ive been stuck at that weight for 3 weeks.

Stress Day 12/11/07
Squat 4x5,4,1 93.5kg
Bench 3x5,4 ,4,2 73.5kg
Chin 2x5,4 BW+10kg (stopped there)

Overall dissapointed, I know I can hit those reps on squats and bench, chins Ill have to see.I am giving serious consideration to switching to box squats for a while so I can nail down my coming out the hole with a nice flat back and not letting the weight come forward.Ill give it some thought.
