Well that was a sumo. That is what I was trying to show. You showed near perfect technique throughout that whole vid except for some neck posturing So enough with the humble stuff, lol. And I noticed that at no time did your hands leave your arms.
I have no problem with what you are doing Hits! I am not trying to get you to do sumos. It's just that you listed that you were doing sumos so I'm saying that doesn't look like a sumo. Although..maybe the video you showed and the workout listed in the post above are different? |
Na vids and workout are correct, thats my version of sumo LOL.From this day forth they shall be known as HHPs or Hoppers hybrid pulls!!!
I played around a bit last night and I think I got the sumo down,I can def see your point E, there is a difference in what I'm doing and a sumo. |
sumos really kinda take the lower back out of it. it's just ass and hammies :) and hips. :)
this is gonna motivate me to throw sumo's back in soon. |
If you're not flexible... your hips will hate you for doing sumos. lol

Bench Day
Hit the bands again today,did my 5 speed sets then worked up a tad.Ended up doing doubles off a 2 board,those bands are a bitch to push thru the sticking point with!! Moved to JMs next ss with band pressdowns,finished with rows and tha few band curls. Bench Day 31/12/08 Bench+Doubled Yellows 45kg 5x3 add 2 Board 1x2 60kg 3x2 70kg JMs Worked up to 1x3 35kg and then 3x5 25kg ss With orange band Pressdowns 3x15 Bent Dumbell Rows 3x10 25kg |
DE Squat Day
WOW tough day,I did blue banded box squats today and then for shits and giggles I added an orange band and then worked up a bit.Walking out alot of band tension is now officially on my list of least favourite things to do!!LOL Finished with RDLs and then dumbell side bends ss with Hang leg raises. DE/RE Squat Day 2/1/08 Box Squat +Blue Bands @ 45% 60kg 5x2 Add Orange Bands 1x2 60kg,70kg,80kg,85kg,90kg RDLs 3x5 80kg,100kg,115kg Side Bends 2x10 35kg ss HLR 2x10 BW Soooooo tired !!! |
