Dragged the sled in thick ass grass with 40kg for 20 mins,I fucked up I was meant to go with 45kg but must of miscounted my plates,I only took a couple breathers for water. This was tough as hell.I pulled forward, backward and between the legs for a few trips. Was gonna play a little Basketball after but I was pooped!!

ME Squat Day

Dammit!! I was gonna rotate to GMs for ME work today but that little voice inside said no pull some deadlifts!! so I did and bombed out horribly,Its the 3rd straight week I have pulled which is very unusal for me! I hit a horrible 150kg and then called her a day.Moved to Dragon flags next and they were great,I gained 6 reps from last week,Finished with split squats. These have really taken off now, my balance is excellent and my glute control has blown up.Great!!

ME Squat Day 5/1/08
Conv Deadlift 1x1 140kg 1xM 150kg 1x1 150kg
Dragon Flag 3x12 BW
Dumbell Split Squats 3x8 30kg

The deadlifts were conventional or close stance,I have awful form on these really, its hard to get in the starting position and my upper back rounds alot.I much prefer my hybrid pulls!!

Bench Day

Close grip bench was up today.Had a pretty good day, missed a PR attempt but didnt really expect to get it anyway.I was more interested in doing some rep work on the 3 board.Which is right in the thick of my weak spot. After the boards I did JMs supersetted with Band pushdowns again and finished with some ultra lousy Barbell Rows.Fuck I hate barbell rows I get nothing from them, so fuck them they are out.

Bench day 7/1/08
CG Bench 1x1 90kg,95kg,100kg 1xM 105kg
3 Board 3x2 95kg
JMs 3x8 25kg
Yellow Band PD Doubled 3x15
Rows= C #%T!!!

Like he said fuck em. No use in beating your head against the wall over a row. I get very little from barbell rows as well.

I understand the question from Pity, though. I think it's a good approach, but only for more complex fundamental movement patterns. It is probably an exercise in futility to spend time analysing what is wrong with a barbell row if there is nothing wrong with your other rows. On the other hand, if you seem to be physically incapable of doing, for instance, a proper lunge or variation thereof, you might want to figure that out.

Am I making sense?

Barbell rows have become dogma. Personally EVERY row I do besides barbell rows works better for me. When I say works better I am, of course also referring to how well I can maintain quality movement and how injury free I stay.

Hell...I haven't done a barbell row in at least 4 or 5 months. Honestly. And I could care less.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
