Merry Xmas Anuj!

Light Day Today

Still very sore from monday and I think its affecting Light day on Wednesdays.Squats were easy I did 3x3 and filmed it from 3 diff angles,I think my cam is busted tho so if it worked Ill get a vid up,if not looks like Im buyin a new cam!! Press was heavy, I was gonna do 8x3 instead of 5x5 but stupid me got under the 1st work set and did 5.I completely forgot lol but I did 7x3 after that! My thoughts are I can probably only do 3x5 with this weight before failure and the last couple reps on each set are slow and a bit sloppy, better to do more sets of less reps and get some real good quality work in and try to avoid filure cos it taxes me too much.Deadlifts sucked I have stalled on them, even my last warmup set with 115 on the bar felt heavy, thats when I knew it was not gonna be a great deadlifting day! I might have to move them to fridays if I want to be able to progress on them, anyone got any thoughts on that idea??

Light Day 26/12/07
Squat 3x3 70kg
Press 1x5 7x3 42.5kg
Deadlift 1x2 132.5kg (felt very heavy during warmups)

Hey hops,
Sometimes I will skip Deadlifts for a week and allow Better recovery if im feeling like that. Squats work alot of those muscles in the meantime. I know alot of guys Deadlift on lightday, personally I need the rest on that day and wouldnt want to do more than heavy press.

Hi Hopper! how you doing!

I think moving Deads to friday probably would be better than doing them on wednesday, if you dont feel recovered from mondays session on the light day.
A light day isn't really a light day with a set of heavy draining deadlifts thrown in.
Glad to see your training is moving in the right direction, keep it up!
Have a good new year.

Regards Jonson

Performance Day

Hi folks Had a toughy today, it was about 40 degrees celcius, and I probably didnt eat a big enough pre workout meal.I still hit PRs tho but fuck it was all feeling heavy.Squats were kinda ugly, I hit a single and then repeated that single with a belt on.Bench was weird I missed at my 1st attempt with 95, and waited about 4mins and tried again I set myself up a bit tighter and slowly grinded out the single for a new PR.It was a very slow rep tho! Chins were a PR but I missed the 5th rep, happy tho cos the 4 I did do felt strong.

Performance Day 28/12/07
Squat 2x1 (2 Singles) 117.5kg (PR)
Bench 1x1 95kg (PR)
Chin 1x4 BW+ 20kg (PR)

Might back off from singles for a while and set some new 3-5rms on fridays I think.I dont think I could continue to max like this for long periods.Any thoughts on this guys?? Cheers

Stress day today

Dang it was hot so I trained a little earlier.Fuck it still must have been at least 38 celcius tho.Squats were feeling pretty good I made my reps although I racked the bar after the 4th rep of the last set cos the bar was not feeling low enough I reset and nailed the rep no probs.By the time bench came round I was tired and missed on my 3rd set, so I did 3s until I hit 25 reps.Nailed all 30 reps on chins with good bar speed to boot.

Stress Day 31/12/07
Squat 5x5 97.5kg
Bench 2x5,4,3,3,3,2 78.5kg
Chin 10x3 BW+10kg

Tired and hot.
