Depending on funds, an old tire with a u-bolt driven through it works great as a sled. Bigger tires = more fun

REALLY hard (read: impossible) to push though

Good work on the PR's.

man, if you can't find an old tire (I personally think semi tires would be awesome, but you probably couldn't plate load them without buiding some platform or whatever) you are doing something wrong.

I've got a 205lb tire sitting in my garage that I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it. Too light to flip it... save it for my boy when he is old enough to start? Drive a big mother f-ing bolt through it and turn it into the world's heaviest and most troublesome sled? Trying to drag it would probably be equal to a hummer pull... maybe worse because there is no way to build momentum. I've thought it might be a good way to train for pul events that require a harness and a rope to pull.

Anyway, getting your hands on a used tire should be far easier than getting a fat girl to eat cake

DE Squat day

Started with box squats, parallell box, and speed was good, I think I'm getting the hang of sitting waaay back on the box better now.I can def feel it hitting the PC more sitting back so far.I do need to stay a bit tighter tho.Moved to Deadlifts next, was going to pull for speed but things felt good and I'm a bit egotistical so I worked up.I hit a friggin sweet looking 150kg and thought fuck it I'm gonna go for a PR, moved up to 165kg on the bar and got it.It doenst count tho in my book cos it was tooo Ugly!! I was pissed I lost form and my back rounded out a bit and it looked like shit.I think I need to work my low back and abs even harder.Weak Core being the culprit.Finished with extensions and abs.

DE Squat Day 11/7/08
Box Squat @ 50% 10x2 65kg
Deadlift Few Singles @ 80kg, then 1x1 140kg, 150kg 165kg (uglier than Britney nowadays)
Extensions and Abs

I really want to hit that deadlift GRRRRRR.

DE Bench Day AM
Speed felt good on bench again, I got a vid I'll up too, just for a form/setup check.Did 9x3 with about 55%.Moved to supersets of rows and dumbell presses next. This was good I did the presses standing 1 arm at a time. Its good to give the militaries a break.Finished off with some tri extensions and facepulls.

DE Bench day 12/7/08
Bench 9x3 3 Grips @ 55% 55kg
1 Arm Dumbell Press 4x6 20kg
Barbell Rows 3x6 50kg 1x13 40kg
Extensions and Facepulls 3 sets

PM- GPP Sled drags 12 mins in grass with 35kg.I did some different types of pulling today to have a mental break, sled dragging can really kick your ass.I pulled backwards for a bit rowing with the sled as I walked and also pulled forward bent over with the weight in my hands.Good workouts today I earnt my pizza I think.

ME squat day

Hit a nice box squat PR today despite feeling like warmed up shit.141kg on the bar so that was nice.Moved to RDLs next added weight and dropped some reps from last week.Next week I'll add reps + a set if I can.Finished off with 1 set of high rep pullthrus and abs.Pretty good day all up.

ME Squat day 14/7/08
Box Squat (Low) 1x1 130kg ,141kg (PR) 2x1 130kg
RDLs 3x5 95kg
Pullthrus 1x15 77.5kg
Abs 3 sets

Gonna do abs more frequently, I think Ill move them up to 3 days per week with 1 day being mostly planks or other static work.
