Thanks , Yes I did have a great time. It was just a little nerve racking but well worth it. My girlfriend video recording it was the best idea ever. I've looked over it at least 5 times and have learned so much about my game and where I need to take my training to get to the next level.

OVERVIEW
Well my weight has settled at 209 right now and that is just me getting back to normalcy from cutting weight for the competition. Now I don't' know if I lost any muscle from my cutting for the competition but I do feel a lot better and I've upped my carbs for the past 3 days to 300 to really try and feed my body and get the metabolism to stay high.

I didn't go to Judo on Sunday because I needed rest and I won't do cardio till Wed.

I can't wait to reach 10s and 8s. After that I think I'm going to do one more cycle and then start adding some muscle by doing some HST 15/10/5 then some DC or something to that fashion.

Kick ass man, you did great.

How do they score you? I'm a little confused, i've never done a grappling competition before. We used to go until somone tapped out, but training is different then competition.

Thanks, man.
The way the scoring goes, I know I'll be off a point or so on how they do it, is 2 points for the take down,
3 for rolling the guy over so you're on top now,
3 for side mount,
4 for mount,
4 for taking the back,
and 3 for putting your knee on their stomach, (it's another way to show dominance and control).
Everything has to be held for 3 second so it shows you have control and it's not a scramble. For example the one match I had the guy rolled me over and almost got mount but I sat up before he could establish control and it nullified his attempt.

You get no points for Attempting a lock or choke. You get what is called an advance and what that is, is when it is a draw, the guy that showed the most attempts to submit and was close to doing so will win.

Now some of the points my be off by 1 but the score doesn't go lower than 2.

My no Gi match was 3-6 and my friend won.
My first Gi match was 14-6 and I almost got him in an arm bar and a triangle choke but they were very sloppy and I was getting tired.
The next/last match was 20-3 and I made that guy my bitch. It was cool, with like 30 seconds left in the last match I said F' it I'll keep this standing and just punish him. So I was able to get up and I took a couple steps back and the guy gets up and charges me.... Now just picture a Steven Segal movie where he launches the guy like 5 feet across the room and that's what I did. It couldn't have been easier the guy was just real mad and lost sight of what his game plan was. So, when he charged at me I chucked him 4 feet and he almost landed outside the ring. Then I realized that there was still some time left and I jumped on him and got more points. I can't wait till my first Judo competition.

oh yeah forgot to add. If you submit the guy, it doesn't matter what the score is, you win.

No work out today. I didn't get out of work till 9:00pm and I was so drained mentally that I just couldn't get into the mind set to do a full body workout.
