Tuesday October 18th, 2011

BW: 205.4lb

Deadlifts
mobility
70kg x 5
90kg x 5
110kg x 3

120kg x 5
135kg x 5
155kg x 1(+10)

Deadlifts
90kg 3x10

Superset with...

Hanging Leg Raises
BW 4x11

Thoughts

My big set was fairly easy. I could have gotten another rep but I went with the "one in the tank" theory. I also held back a little bit in the 5x10 to hopefully keep my bcak in 1 piece for squats.

Grip Work

Trainer - 3x10
CoC #1 - 2x5
CoC #1.5 - 1x5
CoC #2 - RH:4 LH:4 (no closes with left ... arg)
CoC #1.5 - RH: 10,6 LH: 5,3

Thoughts

Well grip training the day after deads may not be the best but I really didn't want to do it *before* deads ... so I may just have to put up with the lack of performance on wednesdays.

It's functional strength. That's sort of what my program is based around. That's why all my lifts are completely raw.

I don't lift to compete. I lift to stay in shape and be strong in every day life.

Friday October 21st, 2011

BW: 205.4lb

Squats
bar x 8
115lb x 5
145lb x 5
185lb x 3

195lb x 5
225lb x 5
250lb x 5(+6)

Well we decided to do a "fvck" all day. We both hit some good numbers and I've been sick all week so enough is enough.

Considering I was sick all week (and still am) I still did pretty good.

Definitely not a vegan. Would be tough to get to 205lb as a vegan I think... lol

Well I am trying to power through this sickness. It didn't last too long and I'm getting through the last bit of it now.

Military is definitely my best lift. Although I'm not sure why! lol
