Thanks Kinryoku

I wanted to DL 400lbs before my 30th birthday which was last febuary which I did, I managed 185k (408lbs) x5 just before my 30th

Now before my 31st my goals are

DL 227k, 500lbs
Squat 182k, 400lbs
Bench 100k, 220lbs

They can be for reps or singles I dont mind the main thing is that I WILL move these poundages before my 31st

I think you'll hit those numbers for repS !! I'll turn 30 in february 2010, I have also set goals. We are still young enough to make great progress and become very strong even if it would be better to be 10 years younger. Years pass so fast...

Thanks Hopper,
I plan to keep Wesley on for the long term,
The training has been the easy bit but it has taken real discipline to stick to the diet.
Wesley setting things out for me has pushed me way forward, I have already learnt quite a bit from him, and willl no doubt learn a lot more.

The years do pass so fast, I just wish that 10 years ago I knew what I know now

Couldn't agree more with you here. These young bucks on here have it made

I've also heard that powerlifters don't peak until they're about 40 - so as long as a guy can stay healthy the next 10 years will be great.

The other day on the telly I saw a programme about a natural UK bodybuilder and he was 60.
I think most people would kill for a physique like that and looking at the size of him he must have been very strong.
just goes to show that no matter how old you are you can still be big, strong, fit and healthy.

First of all Happy new year everyone, its been a while since I updated my journal or posted anything here ,but I have been lurking and keeping up with the regular journals good to see you boys are still at it.
Im still with Wesley aka Ironaddict, in the 10 weeks leading up to christmas he put me on a high rep routine,(mainly 10-12's) which was a welcome break on the joints after an age on low reps.
I progressed well on the high reps and everything moved every workout.
Once the program was done Wesley gave me my new program just before christmas which returns me to low reps on the big exercises.
Before I got the chance to start the new program I got ill twice over christmas didnt eat enough, didnt train at all for 10+ days and lost about 6 pounds.
Im still not feeling to clever have now got a slight cold, I have so far done 3 workouts.

I Trapbar Deadlifted 202.5k for 3 which went up not easy but no where near all out, at the time I thought I had 212.5k on the bar which would have been a PR, but afterwards I realised It was a bit light, Doh! no wonder that PR was so damn easy nevermind next time.
I benched 92k for 3 which is a triple PR
I squatted 160k for 1 which is the most I have ever squatted

I wish I hadnt been ill,not trained, not eaten properly and lost the bit of weight before getting back on the heavy weights,
First of all I might have been able to lift more and second I would have had a better idea of the carryover from the high rep routine to low reps.
Nevermind im sure (or should that be hope ) I have a few weeks of PR's ahead of me, we will see, ill update soon
