Tuesday Januray 27th

182lbs

Uni Push Press
70x2
75x1, xFail, xFail (Left Arm)
75x2 (Right Arm)

I decided to drop the volume down for this week. I would rather not keep hitting 4-6+ sets of doubles every week.

My second set (Left Arm) I got one rep, knew I couldn't get another, waited and got half way through the second one and gravity took over. I did the set on the right arm, waited a bit and went back for the second rep with the left, but got about half way again.

It was a tough weight, but those 2 failures were 'good' failures imo. I got about halfway through the rep, exerted a good amount of force and had control on the eccentric.

I'll be going back to 70 next week to try and get 3 doubles (without using 'clusters').

Pullups
+35x4, +35x4, +35x3, BWx9

I was showing someone how to do pullups during my workout, so there were about 4-6 BW pullups sprinkled in between those sets.

Neutral Grip DB Press
70x10x3

Tough!

Zottman Curl
35x8, 35x8, 35x7

These curls are harder than Anderson Front Squats!!

Thursday January 29th

181lbs

Anderson Front Squats
205x2
205x2
205x2

Very good drive against the bar, totally deloaded the weight and thrusted against the bar. Second set went up like it was nothing. Third set, second rep, was tough but still got it cleanly.

GM's
175x10x2

OH Squats
95x8x2

Second set was really tough, only because my shoulders were feeling a bit of fatigue. Next week may see an increase in weight with a decrease in reps (shorten the time I have to be in full lockout)

Dragon Flags
Skipped

I destroyed my abs last night with deadbugs and planks lol. No way was I getting any decent dragon flags.

Good workout.

have you tried the dead bug stuff on the foam roller yet? i like it alot better because it's easier to feel if your low back is actually flat on it....carpet just doesn't cut it for me

I usually do them on a hardwood floor or my carpet. I don't have plush carpet, and its old, so its pretty much the same as the hardwood but with a tiny bit of padding.

One of these days I'm going to try it on the roller. I haven't had any problem, knock on wood, getting or feeling my lower back to be flat.

Saturday January 31st

181lbs

CG Speed Pin Press
175x2
175x2
175x2
175x2
175x2
175x2

10lb increase over last week and had a good consistent speed throughout the workout.

Pin Press
215x3, 215x3, 205x3

I recently bought some wrist wraps from a local fitness store (APT wanted 17 bucks in shipping and I got harbinger 20" wraps for the same price (canadian dollars) as the Black Mambas).

I'm one of those evil guys that uses a false grip on bench, and I'm trying to change it to a 'proper' grip. Problem is that I subconsciously bend my hand backwards like I do with a false grip. Anyway, the wraps help to keep my focus on keeping the hand upright and wrists straight. Today was their debut and they worked quite well.

Inverted Row
+10x10, +10x9

CG TBar Row
Bar+110x8, Bar+120x8

Facepulls
105x14x2

OH DB Tri Ext
80x8x2
