Thursday March 5th

189lbs

OH Squats
115x1
120x1
125x1
125x1

I'm still trying to work out the right hand spacing on these. My press is strongest (and easiest on the shoulders) with my pinky's on the rings or just inside them, but my OH stability is much better with my index on the rings. However this weakens my press and also give me mild shoulder discomfort.

I'm thinking of sticking with my pinkys on the ring and keep working on my stability. Seems like the best option right now. OR maybe I'll just start snatching the weight up

Anderson Front Squats
205x2
205x2
205x2

Back Squats (Full ROM)
225x5x3

Haven't done these in a while! Definitely a bit awkward at first. They've definitely improved though, form is tight and I've got tons of power at the bottom.

I've really been playing around with this workout alot lately. Thursdays have always been my best days and I intend to keep it that way

Sure have been gaining weight.

I'm fluctuating by quite a bit (4 lbs or so) so we'll see how much actually sticks around.

January 5th I was 179lbs

Friday March 6th

188lbs

CG Pin Press
215x2
225x2
225x1
235x1
235x1
195x4

The 225x2 was by far the hardest thing I've done in a while. I literally pushed til I was blue in the face, but I got the reps. I switched to singles after that because the second rep was really killing me, and surprisingly enough 225x1 was not bad and 235x1 was very tough but manageable. By the time I hit the backoff set I was toast, hence the 4 reps lol.

Inv. Row
+20x10, +20x10

CG T-Bar
+135x8, +125x8

Facepull
120x8x2

Today was a very good day for bench, my disdain for this exercise still remains, but its a very tiny bit better.

I took out the old strongman stuff this weekend...and ended up f'ing my shoulder. Figures.

I'm cancelling today's deadlifts and I'll play it by ear for tomorrow.

^^^ Ah that sucks, bro. I hope your shoulder heals up soon.

My right elbow's been bothering me too...I hate bench pressing.

^^Yeah it sucks balls. I think I just aggravated it. I'm throwing tiger balm on it and trying not to aggrevate it any further.

I'll probably take tomorrow off too. Might do some cardio or non-pressing/pulling exercise LOL

Thursday March 12th

187lbs

OH Squats
115x1
125x1
125x1
125x1

Anderson
215x2
215x2
215x2

Backsquat (wider stance)
225x5
245x5
245x5

Shoulder is back to normal! Got some good OH's in today and the backsquats were pretty easy. I think I could've rocked 275 today but I haven't done wide stance in a while so I didn't want to get carried away.

Finished up with some plank 'rotations' (6 reps) (front, side, front, side, front) which are basically the same as doing planks except you use the hips to transition from plank to plank.

ie 10 seconds front, transition to 10 sec right side plank, transition to 10 sec front plank, transition to 10 sec left side plank, transition to 10 sec front, (one rep lol) rinse and repeat.

Diet update:

February 12th I added in a 'secret' supplement to my stack (its nothing muscletech or illegal :biglaugh).

Since doing that I've gained about 4-5lbs and put myself into the high 180s (quite easily) instead of struggling to get out of the low 180s. The other surprising thing is that instead of being around 4500+ calories I'm around 3500+ and rarely breaking 4000.

I know that its not 4-5lbs of muscle but the point of this is to try and prove the theory I have, and that involves gaining weight at lower calories (still above maintenance). And no I'm not trying to come up with some grand nutrition theory or an e-book hahaha. I will say this though, eating 4500 cals and maintaining or losing weight sparked this whole inquisition. If you think about that you can probably guess what I'm trying to figure out.

SO I'm gaining weight easier than before while eating fewer cals It might seem like witchcraft but this supports what my research suggested.

I'm not going to give away the supplement just yet because I want to keep testing it and see if I can get to the mid 190s (which would be a new personal best lol).
