4th week workout

i honestly forgot i didnt workout on friday and started squating with the extra 10 pounds. so i said fuck it and just finished the whole workout with the addes weight

pull ups 3x3

squats
5x5@335

bench
5x5@335

pendaly row
5x5@ 245

sled tugging- 4-45lb plates. ten trips

elliptical 30 minutes

dips 3x12

like i said i forgot i missed the last workout last week and wound up starting with the extra weight o i just did the weight anyway.

wanted some extra back work. i bought a 50 foot rope. so you can subtract about 5 feet from that due to the knot being tied around the sled. ill tape it next time. but i pulled the sled towards me with the weight on me. worked my back, biceps, and forearms.

my foot felt good today. i been grinding the bottom of it all weekend with golfballs and tennis balls. feels better and better everyday. so hopefully in a few weeks ill be good. im gonna get some more stretching in and more massaging and hopefully it keeps giving me results.

knee is feelin really good to. dont think i have to use wraps anymore at all

Glad to hear it , but don't you think if you continue to go heavy you would want to use them ?

^^^^Yeah, maybe you should think about knee sleeves for the really heavy stuff. That's what most people do these days, I think, rather than wraps. Nothing wrong with that (sleeves) for the really tough stuff. But of course you don't want to be all wrapped up tight for everything.

im an idiot once again E and talo........i have the sleeves not the wraps me just not using the proper terms again . if you guys look at the videos i put up when i was squating the red and black things around my calves are the sleeves. i just leave them pulled down so just in case i feel like i need them i can just pull them up. they were the red things that looked like socks that you refered to talo.

and i never used sleeve or wraps like that anyway so my goal is to continue to not use them. but i do have them on just in case. i either leave them on my calves or i just leave them around hanging off my ankles. if i go for something like a max lift or something to where i only do a few reps i will def use them, but as of right now i dont feel like the weight is giving me problems in regards to my knee. if i do use them it will be towards the end of the week if i am feeling a little drained.

but as of right now i am listening to my body more than ever. so best beleive if i feel like i need to use the sleeves i will do just that. i have never been one to work with sleeves, wraps, belts, gloves, etc. but trust and believe, if i have to use it i will.

Your not an idiot , MOnsta . I can't remember what the stuff is called half the time also.

I've never used slips , but I have used wraps - How do they differ in pressure ?

when i was younger i tried some wraps cause i seen some powerlifters use them. wraps you can make really tight. and to be honest they are to much of a hassle. you spend your whole recovery time unwrapping them and rewrapping them. they help but i used them like twice and never used them again. the sleeves i got not to long ago when i first did a gvt workout and i started to use them more often when i just started this routine. they are way more comfortable and you can just leave them on and dont have to worry about readjusting. you wont get them as tight around your knee as wraps, but they work really good. i prefer the sleeves any day to the wraps. but all in all i would rather use nothing

You are on the right track Monsta. And if I had been paying more attention in your journal I would have seen you had sleeves and not wraps. Probably most people use them interchangeable and the sleeves are sort of new in gaining more popularity. Not that sleeves are new, only that they are more in vogue than wraps now.

Now I can definitely see someone wrapping up tight for a big lift in competition. But for just some good support for training sleeves, I think are the way to go.

I can try to dig up some more qualified stuff on wraps versus sleeves when I get a chance and post it.

thanks e-money bags. didnt do any cardio yesterday on my non lifting day. i was off from work where my main job and gym is and i been doing alot of running around so i just took the day off.

workout

pullups
3x4

abroller
3x15

squats
5x5@335

OH press
5x5@215

deadlifts
5x5@255

squat good mornings
3x5@185

shrugs
3x10 @ 90 dumbells

curls
3x10@ 100 pounds

calf raises, different kinds

20 minutes on elliptical

squats felt the same. challenging but able to do them. i should still be able to make another 10 pound jump next week. OH presses felt good. should make 10 pound jump with those also. deadlifts are starting to feel really easy, but i will stick to the plan i can worry about making bigger jumps with that later. i still want to get a video so you guys can critique my form but i forgot my cam. i feel like i can lift alot more on that now.

squat goodmorning were really light but i just wanted to do a little extra without to much stress because i have another day of squating. and of course i hate curls i just do them because you sort of kind of got to. had to shorten time on the elliptical because i was there a little bit to late, so i turned the level up so i could get a could cardio workout in 20 minutes. 2.0 miles traveled 380 calories burned

think you're gonna have to move to something harder on the bottom of the foot besides a tennis ball?
