MONDAY-LEGS, A LITTLE SHOULDERS AND BACK

ok now those squats are a little all over the place because at first i forgot i was supposed to go up 20 pounds and i started off with 225, and when i got to set 8 and co worker of mines came up to me and we starting laughing and jokin for a good 5 minutes. i knew that was to much time so i threw more weight and only waited 1 minute for rest time.

tried some pull ups today. only did 5. the first three felt real good, but i think the push ups i did yesterday held me back. i wasnt sore like last week but a litle tired.

squats- 2x10@225 - 6x10@245 - 4x5@315
standing military presses. 4x5@205 - 1x10@135
bent over rows- 3x10@135
shrugs- 3x10@80 - dumbells
standing calf raises superset 3x8 toes in , out, straight
seated calf raises. 3x15

thoughts

i got on the bike for a little while but it was mad late. i will be getting into more cardio but i just couldnt do it today. had a few things to do so i had to roll

i tried to see if i can fit my back shoulders and legs in the same day but doing the rows was a little bit much after the squats. i guess i put on a littl ebit more than i should with the military presses but i will stick with it till i get five sets out of it. i think i will leave mondays for legs and shoulders. i felt like i could still add more volume for my shoulders.

i also tried to do some deads and of course i couldnt do any lol. ill leave that for wed. im just throwing things in and out for now, just trying to get a good routine together.

like i said fellas. feel free to rip apart anything i do. im open to suggestions

No F'ing way!.. that's cool. Wilson is the one instructor that I trained with. He's a real nice guy but a beast on the mat. He has a lot of vids on youtube of his pro. grappling matches and MMA fights.

Welcome to my world.
Lifting real heavy and doing jiu jitsu is hard but you just have to make sure your diet is in order and the endurance will come. I always like to have some whey and WM on hand for long sessions.

You may have to change up some lifting BUT. that depends on what you do, i.e., just BJJ or BJJ plus all the other stuff they have.
If you just do BJJ and No-Gi I think you'll be able to still lift heavy just give it some time.

Welcome to the world of strength endurance monsta.

you should check out dave's SE journal for some tips on how to train while doing martial arts. I have an SE journal too, but its not as indepth as daves, give it a look if you want.

i took a look at daves before, but i will def take a look again. and dave i just started out with the no-gi. as soon as we started warming up my legs were ready to slap me. it was cool though because i just wanted to start to learn the moves and all. so i was sort of just doing a lot of defense. i dont want to run in there thinking i can over power someone and then get suckered into a crazy submission.

prime example i was wrestling with this dude my size. even with me being tired i felt like i was way stroonger than him. so while i was on the floor he was trying to do something to me but i wouldnt let him. he was a big dude put i picked him up off the floor while he wa son my back. as soon as i did that i was easy picking for the guilitine. i know i didnt spell that right either

i do want to go both sessions and i still want to work out tough. i will just tone it down just a little. but i honestly think that if i place certain workouts on certain days i will be good. i will justdo the things i am not used to yet like squats at the end of the week so i have time to recoup.

i am def gonna get into this serious though
