If I were to use a box or have someone call my depth it would be a different story with the depth and I know I could do it. I'm in a mental batle right now with depth . This is the main reason I'm taping myself so that I can look at it and know I need to go deeper.

The first two reps didn't look to high to me at all. 3rd one I was creeping up and the fourth I gave up. I needto study this and then talk to myself while squatting.

I'm trying to line up a few people for next week and get in the mono and get depth called. If thus happens I will be putting on a suit and going for broke.

Cool. Part of it probably has to do with comfort level. If you have a low intensity workout and squat a couple of inches below parallel, then it will make hitting parallel a lot easier the next time you train. I went through the same thing and squatting extra deep helped me to dis-un-mind-fuck myself. If I had your address, I would send you a "get well mentally soon" card.

haha , yeah I'll get over it .

I also think that using the box for so long and not having it under par a big part of this . This is why I took it a way. I know them EFTS guys always train with the box , but I found at my meet I was looking for it and it wasn't there , felt like I kept going down . Fucked me up.

Once I put on a suit I will be able to blast through no prob -

maybe next squat day....just make it a speedy day with an ultra low box....and use a mirror if you can't find anybody.

I'm getting away from using the box. I don't want to use one anymore.

Yes, I’ve used a low bx.

From my experience it's the feel that has to be there while squatting. If I've got close to 500lbs on my back while looking at the mirror I can't tell if I parallel , I have to Feel it... Just trying to keep my eyes in my head

With lots of weight I can actually tell where I am in the lift. Most of the time I know I'm not all the where there ,but my brain tells my body to go up.. However if I have someone calling my depth I will listen because there is an outside source. The same with the box.....

I'm trying to train myself here without a box . I know how to do it , I'm just having a mental block when it comes to it.

If that makes any sense to you.

It makes sense. You're just fighting your body's natural reaction to reduce the stress. As you go down deeper and deeper, the stress increases so naturally you would want to decrease that. Anyways, you're not far off so I think it's just a matter of forcing yourself to do it a couple times and learn what a proper depth squat feels like.

Personally I squat pretty much A2G every time I train unless its with a box or pins etc. However, I dont' compete so I guess that puts us in a different boat... also you are a F load stronger than me. lol

Nov 30th

bench: 230x5, 260x3, 290x1+4
incline db presses: 3x11@90
close grip bb press 2x15@135
tricep cross body ext: 3x12@25
db curls 2x12@30
wide grip lat pulldown 2x10@140
tricep pushdowns 2x15@120

I did a bit more assessory work today because the atmosphere was better than normal ;)

Also going to start doing curls a bit more ( not overly ) because after reading a few peoples journals and thoughs who have not incorperated these started having issues , which were then corrected by just adding in bicep curls. The last thing I want is an injury right now or ever.
