Good work Pity. It almost looked like you were shooting for the rack on the last rep with 190, Ripp will eat your first born if you do it!

Bands are also a good choice for doing facepulls. You don't necessarily have to add more resistance, you can progress by adding reps and sets.

I like the idea of substituting bands here and there for anything. And if you don't have anything to do regular face-pulls on then for sure use a mini band to start. But I notice a lot of people seem to be using almost exclusively bands for face-pulls and here is my one problem with that:

One of the most, if not the most, important part of face-pulls is the end and getting that real good scap retraction with a good hold. And that is the toughest/weakest part of the rep. Which is where it's heaviest with bands. I'll betcha a lot of people are going to end up not finishing there reps..so be aware of that.

If you got into a habit of too much band on that you wouldn't be getting all the benifits of the movement.

Of course it's a great idea...just a heads-up.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

mobility/oh and plate squats

Front Squat 3RM:

-40 x 3
-60 x 3
-80 x 3
-100 x 3
-120 x 3
-125 x 3
-130 x 3
-135 x 3
-140 x 3
-145 x 3

RDL's - 100 x 8, 105 x 8, 110 x 8

Super set one:
A1: Pullups - 12.5......10, 8, 8
A2: rollouts - 3 x 9

Super set two:
B1: dead bug static holds - 2 x 25 sec each leg
B2: band pullaparts - 2 x 10

last time i did a triple on fronts it was 120...and it was kinda hard....so wasn't sure how much higher i could go....definitely happy with 145. gonna keep adding weight to pullups until i can't get 20 reps in 3 sets.

vids of last 3 sets of front squats....with a little blooper in the first one.
