I think when I do them as an ME exercise I'll do them as concentrics.

extended rom bulgarians: 50 x 10 x 2

hip extensions: 20, 2 x 20.....statics 2 x 45 seconds

double leg lower on roller: 4 x failure

got zee vid of the pr:



170 was just not happening today

foam/mobility

conc. pistols: bw, 2 x 5

box pistols: 5 pounds, 2 x 5

full range pistols: 5 pounds, 1 x 2...10 pounds, 1 x 3...20 pounds, 1 x 1, 1 x 2, 1 x 3

inverted rows: 3 x 8


dead bug on roller...double leg: 3 x failure.


right leg is weaker than the left....gonna have to work on it. got cramps in my quads from holding my legs up at the bottom position.

got a video of the 10" box pistols...and then the 5 pound and 20 pound full rangers. they aren't exactly sexy...but i'm getting there.

That really is impressive.I am close to a full range one, but not quite there yet.Very nice job.I do alot of box pistols that I'm too lazy to write up in my journal sometimes.

How you gonna tackle the strength imbalance with the right leg?

not sure...probably more volume. i just don't come out of the hole as smooth as with the left leg. i may have to buy a weighted vest.

I saw a couple of my buddies doing pistols last week while standing on a box. If I see them doing it again, I'll make a video. They were doing sets of 15 w/ a 25lb plate held out in front of them with arms completely extended, ass almost to the box, and it was completely smooth. I was very impressed.
