Yeah but if you add things to this program in that way you ruin it. Your days off are just as important as your days on. And where in the world did you get 3x7 deadlifts plus the 2x1?

It's one set of 5. At least to start. Mess with this and you may as well not be doing Rippetoe at all.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

We'll see This program is desgned perfectly. If you stick to it and eat properly the results will follow. But if you do screw with it just don't go around telling people that it doesn't work!

sounds like a plan, the only thing i added today was a little calf raises, other then that it was just a normal A lift...

bench: 1x1 at 245 (just seeing if i could do it) 3x5 at 185
squat: 3x5 at 205 (to low)
dips: 2x5 at bodyweight
deadlift: 1x5 at 285
standing calf raises: 2x10 at 220 plus bodyweight

after that i just screwed around and spotted my giant friend (6'6" 305lbs benches 245x10, squats 315x10)

true, but i guess i thought that sence ive been lifting for 18 months that a beginners routine wouldn't help that much, and i want to waste as little time as possible. great job on the squat, was that for 5 reps or what?

if u do Ripp's SS program for as long as u can without hitting the intermediate stage of ur lifting career, ur gonna thank urself and those who pushed u many years down the line. do the program with patience and consitence and u will succeed.
