hahah pity your a funny dude.

Monday:

am

20 minutes streching

pm

clean and press 4x10
alt
over head squat 4x10

weighted foot work, band work, shadow boxing, crunches, ect.

Notes: My workouts are becoming less structured which is fun, this one took about a half hour, and I was soaked by the end. I can barely remember most of the stuff I did. The over head squats were done with a broom handle, those things are rough. I hope that in the next two weeks I can start doing clean, press, overhead squat complexes ... should be fun.

Wed:

I decided to forgo the weights and kick the crap out of my roommate hahah. We got in about 30 minutes of boxing yesterday, around four 5 minute rounds, and we would stop for instruction, and quick drink breaks. I was suprised at how easy it was for me, I haven't sparred in a long time, and I really wasn't suckin wind like I thought I would be. I even had some serious endurance with the 14oz gloves on.

on a side note, I spoke with my chiro yesterday at length about some of the lower back issues I'm having. He did some flexability tests, and it turns out my lower back is in pretty good shape, my hamstrings on the other hand are fucked.

while laying on the table, he couldnt bring my leg up past 90 degrees, how the hell can I kick people in the head, and have no flexability in my hamstrings? This is something that needs to be correct asap, he suggest I give yoga a try, so I'm going to start supplimenting that in next week twice a week.

Thats a great idea monsta, I'll have to hit up china town this weekend!

MONSTAFACE 07-31-2008 10:55 AM

yea. make sure they focuson your hams real good. it may hurt bu tits a good hurt. if they allow it have them work on you rglutes to.. al lthat stuff is connected and the sometimes where you think the pain is coming from it actually isnt. it could be coming from another muscle that inserts. so tell them to focus on your whole posterior chain.

Ok so I'm back at it, last nights workout was interesting, one of those workouts where you think your spent, and for some reason you just keep on going.

I started with KB complexes, all single arm movements, swing, high pull, snatch, squat, press, punch. This shit was tough, 3x10 (l,r) and I was feeling it.

Then I did some leg work, through roughly 250 kicks per leg before I lost count. I then threw on the gloves (14oz) and did some shadow boxing till I could barely hold my hands up.

I then pulled the gloves, and ran through katas, some weapons, some empty hand, some free style shadow boxing thrown in.

15 minutes stretching, and I was officially spent.
