Thanks. Alternating deadlifts and squats every week has helped tremendously. I'm only doing one heavy lower body day also. 3 weeks ago I would have been drained, but I'll do 290 or 305 for my next 4X6. I love the new workout.

Incline Bench - 5X3 175
DB Bench - 4X5 70
DB Rows - 4X8 60
Military Press - 3X3 135, 1X3 145
Dips - 4X10

So...at the end of the workout I was done except for dips and my workout buddy was getting ready to start doing military press. So I decided to try 135 just to see what it felt like. It was EASY. When I was doing it before, it was standing military press. And my form wasn't fantastic. Today it was easy...great form and everything. I just didn't do many reps or anything...

Squats A2G - 4X5 185
Calve raises - 4X15 115
Ab stuff

Wasn't feeling too great, so I didn't get any cardio in. It's a light lower day anyway. First time ever doing squats A2G. It felt good and natural. I could have added a lot more weight. I am going to replace front squats w/ A2G on my light day and keep increasing the weight until it's enough to switch over to A2G on my heavy day. I'm still going parallel on my heavy day. If I'm doing squats anyway, then they might as well be A2G.....

How far down had you been going before with squats? I figure you may as well do a full squat if you're gonna do it at all.

I had been going pretty low...at least down to parallel. But now I'm going down as low as I physically can.

My back rounds a bit right at the bottom as well. I get below parallel but there is a point where my back will round. I have always considered below parallel to be A2G. There is hardly anyone else at my gym that even makes parallel...

I didn't have any problems with my back rounding, but it could have been because I wasn't using enough weight. When I got to the bottom I was able to explode up pretty hard...and I kept my posture good when I got there.

I'll try to get a video up soon. It looks like I'll be lifting in the basement at home for the next month. I have a squat rack, a bench, and a 300lb weight set. I can't bring myself to pay for a gym membership for a month because I'm so used to going to the gym for free at school.

I guess the one good thing you can say about the guys at the gym doing squats is that.......they're doing squats. I never have a problem finding an empty squat cage at my gym. Now if only people would stop doing bench press...
