I went to the less nice gym today. It is where most of the bigger guys lift. Which is nice...there is a little etiquette during the middle of the day. I'm normally the smallest guy in there during the middle of the day which I don't mind at all. There are no mats for deadlifting and the equipment is older. It's worth the little bit of sanity.

Deadlifts - 5X3 285, 295, 305, 315, 325
Arnolds - 5X5 55
Chins - 3X8 BW
Ab work
Superset
Lat Pulls - 3X8 120
Reverse Curls - 3X8 45
Thanks Hopper. Nailed the deadlifts today. I could have done more. I'll save it for next week. I met one of my buddies in the gym...hadn't seen him in forever. He is going to be one of the linebacker coaches for the school next year. He was part of the ASU team that won the IAA Championship 3 years in a row. After deads I just worked out with him and one of his friends. I went away from my routine, but I don't think it will hurt me because I was hitting the same muscles. And if it did hurt, I don't care...it was a great workout.

T-bar Rows - 5X5 95

Very sore lower back. Aggravated the ruptured disc doing deadlifts, I think. Maybe it will magically get better by Monday.

Do they make whole wheat gummy worms?
I FINALLY found exactly what I'm talking about when I say "T-bar Row". It's actually a Lying T-Bar Row. For me...it just takes all of the stress off of the lower back. I don't suppose it's quite as good as JS Rows, but it is super close. I get a better workout doing these just because I don't cheat. I love this exercise...it was built for me. I do them pretty much like the guy in the video...although I only hold and squeeze on the last rep of every set.
Normal T-bar rows are without the chest pad...just stand bent at the waist, but it's more or less the same apparatus.

Yeah...I know Jay Cutler does them pretty regularly. But I think he just likes to hear the plates jingle...his form is not impressive at all.

Bench - 5X5 180
Squats - 1X2 255, 2X5 225
Rows - 5X6 90
Tricep work
The back is messed up. Couldn't really do any weight with squats. Kind of messes up all of my workouts until it gets better, so I'll see how it goes........
