...yes mom, I am going to defy god and genetics to put on 100+ lbs of muscle so I can be in a magazine preferred by skinny kids and gay men. *rolleyes*

If I'm getting in a magazine it will be for closing the #3 Captains of Crush gripper.

haha, I always used to admire them and think that was genetically possible. I bet a lot of people still do.

Of course they still do. It is the myth (lie) that supplement companies employ to sell magazines and product. Last time I looked at a bodybuilding mag it was near impossible to even tell where a "real" article ended and an advertisement began. That mentality that any kid can buy a few hundred bucks worth of NO-xplode and Muscletech will make them all Marcus Ruhl.

Fortunately I have given my mother a whole new set of worries "You aren't going to lift that big stone are you? You will throw your back out!" Bah

I know what you mean, I bust my ass each day in the gym and when it comes to eating, people always assume if they have the same supplements they will be just as strong. blah but that doesnt really bother me these days. I am training to be as strong as I can be.

One day I am sure I will go down the strong man or PL road. My height does give me a poor mindset though.

chest supported rows 5x5 - 3 plates 25
Pull Downs 4x10- 220
Rack Deads 3x8 - 3 plates 25

Strength is going up, some factor could be just me getting used to this style of training, but I do feel greater power on the racks though.

Rest and diet hasnt been spot on, but after thursday everything should return back to normal.

I have been able to maintain my weight which is fantastic. 220lbs. I am not really into cutting down anymore.

Saw the parents today. Its my mom that usually gets upset, according to her its about my health. She knows I always eat clean and rarely cheat, but holding 220 at my height worries her. I told her that I always get my blood work done, and physicals. So health is a non issue, and that her real concern is looks. I said some want to be pretty while others want to be strong. I prefer the latter.

I hate how looks trumps character.

lol i been big my whole life though so it almost doesnt count. i never bulked or any of that other stuff. i was just a big dude who actually didnt sit on my ass. i honestly think i was meant to be bigg though. in my baby pic im stocky and my grandmom said i was skinny (sort of a normal size) one time in my life and i looked horrible.

it has its drawbacks though. the clothes that fit me are to long. when i was younger i couldnt play football because i was way bigger (weight wise) and stronger than everyone else.

but the good things are that my older cousins would always try to pick on me by putting me in a head lock and i would just pick them up and slam them. whne i go to the store and have a lot of bags i can pick them all up at once so i wont have to go back to the car. and once in a blue someone trys to brag about how much they can lift and how often they workout and i wont touch a weight for like 4 months and just throw 100 pounds on top of what he did and add about 5 more reps to it to shut him up and go about my business

Monsta, you are still tall for a bodybuilder I go to the Arnold fitness expo every year and at 5'11" the only people I'm not taller than are many of the freaky steroid amazon women. But most of the guys have these huge arms stuffed into sleeveless dress shirts or whatever, and I look at them and giggle because it is like the Wizard of Oz munchkins got their hands on some Synthol

Slayer, I gotta tell you I think it is kinda weird that your mom basically is calling you an undateable freak Like no woman could love you? Wow, I would be a little offended by that... My mother's main concern was that I would be so big that I couldn't wash my hair or wipe my butt. Seriously. She saw some Maury Povich show where they had a guy that supposedly was so massive that he couldn't wash his own hair and THAT is what scared my mom. *rolleyes*
