I didn't get a chance to lift today. Work was a little much and I had to make a decision, lift or MMA.. Well I went with MMA and it was only because we had a PAN AM grappler teaching class and he was so interesting to watch and grapple with. We also had one of the guys that use to teach come back to teach for the day and he has progressed in his game in leaps and bounds. He was showing us stuff that was just mind boggling. Definitely a good time. I was doing great and did Gi and NO-Gi. I went up and sparred my Judo teacher in No -gi and I don't know what he was thinking but He was going at like 50% and just laying around and letting me take his back and all kinds of moves then with 30 seconds on the clock left one of the other trainers yelled at him and said stop F'ing around. Well it then turned from 50% to 200% and he practically ripped my shoulder out with a key lock and I barley had enough time to yell out and tap. My shoulder is ok, it's just very sore. It seemed like he felt bad about it and he did say he was sorry. I was just very pissed because it's not like I'm a new guy and he wasn't doing any thing to better position or do anything. He could have probably done the same move and everything at 80% and still have gotten it and at least it wouldn't have been such a drastic change of pace and endanger me when I have a competition coming up.
I'll be doing more cardio type training from now on to prep more for my matches. See you next time.
