Another update.
My back and shoulder are doing better and I'm going to test out lifting tomorrow. Training is going very well and I was able to do a Muay Thai class right before my Competition Team training. I was very tired but no injuries came back or were aggravated. Hopefully I can start lifting heavy again and balance everything out.

Good luck with the injury Dave, and congrats on your placings in the comp. I know I'm a little late (as usual).

Wednesday's Workout
PM training:
Burpee Clean and Press: 5 one minute rounds with on minute rest @ 135lbs. reps 10,6,5,5,3
Submission wrestling 1.5 hour
OVERVIEW
Not bad since I haven't done those in a while. Felt great and warmed up before class. Class was good and I was feeling great. Started sparring against one of our new blue belts from another group. I was dominating the whole time and with 30 seconds left I was starting to goof around and I get caught in a triangle choke but I wasn't locked tight. I started to cut the angles to get out and that is when I twisted my knee. I felt a pop and immediately got scared more than hurt. I don't think I tore anything but it's sore today. The soreness is on the inside of my left knee, right along the side edge of knee joint. Well needless to say this sucks. My coach told me to only drill next time I come in and rest it up a lot if I wanted to compete in 2 weeks. I'll keep you guys updated.

Thanks guys. My knee is doing better. It's just sore and feels weak.
Thursday's Workout
PM training:
Muay Thai 1 hour
OVERVIEW
Tried to warm it up a little and just work on my hands in the Muay Thai class. My knee didn't hurt that much and class was good. I tried to just drill in BJJ class and my knee was not having that. So I left early and relaxed at home with some ice on the knee.

Thursday's Workout
PM training:
Muay Thai 1 hour
Submission Grappling 1.5hrs
OVERVIEW
I started a ckd diet as soon as I realized I was a little over my weight class and thus far I weight 201 this morning, so I think I might make 195. As far as practice it was great. My knee is feeling good and didn't really bother me at all. Muay Thai is always fun and I got a chance to work on more movement than I did before. As for grappling, our coach gave us more game plan specific drills to work on and I can't wait to try them.
This competition gives you the chance to weigh in the night before so I'm most likely going with a team mate of mine to the sauna and sweat out the last 5 or so pounds. We'll see what happens.

Thanks
Wednesday's Workout
PM training:
Submission Grappling 1.5hrs
OVERVIEW
Class was great. We did nothing but spar and I got to roll with all the really good guys which was great so I could try out some things I learned and tighten up my game. At the end of class one of the guys I rolled with on Monday stopped by, he is my hight and some what my build, a little softer. We started talking and he said that he needs a training partner that is his size to train with for an upcoming MMA match he is having. I told him I would be more than happy to help since I also want to fight soon. So now I have a training partner that is the same size, i.e., we would both fight at 185. This is great and I can't wait to start really training for MMA.
