Thanks guys.
I didn't get a chance to go to training last night because of work. I'll be going tonight and Friday and hopefully I can get some lifting inbetween.

Thursday's Workout

PM training:

Circuit
1 KB 1 Leg Squats : 5x3 @ 8kg
KB Snatch: 5x5 @ 24kg
KB Bottom-up Press: 5x5 @ 16kg

BJJ 2 hour

OVERVIEW
We had a seminar with a world class BJJ grappler that was from Brazil, one thing is, his driver was about 1 hour late. Well I know seminars are at a slower pace so I went in the back and did a circuit. I'm really getting better at the one leggers... funny thing is my right leg, which I consider my "dominate leg" has a harder time with the movement, mostly a flexibility thing. Everything else was great and I actually tried doing some KB flipping, when doing swings you switch hands but flip the KB around, very hard.
The seminar was awesome and I can't wait to try out the moves I learned.

Sounds like a damn good seminar. Don't hurt too many people with your new moves

i have that problem too...my right leg has always been ya know...the one i kick soccer balls with and stuff...and it tires out quicker than my left one when i'm doing single leg stuff.

I swear I thought I saw you in my gym the other day. There was this red head with a beard (kinda) doing circuits like crazy. I thought about you the whole time - no homo

Friday's Workout

PM training:

Competition team 2 hrs

OVERVIEW
Was a very easy training session. We it seemed that we worked more technical points for the game and tried some fancier moves. Then we sparred the regular class, which was fun since we got to try all the new tricks we learned. I had to cut out after one match because I had to pick up the woman, she went out with a bunch of our friends for dinner in DC. Our coach said that he wanted to be more technical this week but promised that next week he was going to kill us. Till next time.

Default Updates

Been real busy with work and the holidays so here's what's been going on.

Monday
Competition team 2 hrs

Tuesday
Squats 5x5 @ 205, 225, 225, 275, 315 lbs.
KB Snatches 5x5 @ 24kg
KB Alternate Shoulder Press 5x5 @ 24kg

Wednesday's
treadmill 35 minutes HIIT

OVERVIEW
Class was great and learned some great moves I can't wait to try. The workout was great the next day. I was about to do squats and another guy was waiting to use the cage. We ended up working out together and I let him go first and without me saying anything he hits ever squat rock bottom. After he got done I said, "It's great to see someone that can actually do a full squat." Then we started talking about how nobody squats right anymore and most of the conversation after that was about us running into people using the cage and how bad there squat was.. kinda dorky jock talk.. definitely funny in retrospect. After that I worked with the KBs and called it a day. Hopefully this week will be good since work looks like it's going to suck big time.

Talking Oooooooooohh!!!! Man

Monday's Workout

PM training:

TIRE FLIPS... AAAHHHH!!: 4X10 @ 1 AWESOME TIRE

Comp. Team Submission Wrestling 2 hour

OVERVIEW
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! THEY FINALLY GOT A TIRE!!!
Sorry but I was so excited when I walked into the gym at my MMA school and walked into the back and there it was. I immediately had a Christmas morning moment. I ran over and rolled it into the parking lot, they had the back garage door open. The guy who got it said it was heavy. I flipped it once and it was about a 250lbs tire, give or take. I told him that it was nothing and then proceeded to flip away. After my first two sets, one of the girls that runs the gym and the Crossfit group yield out, "Dave give me 10." I said I got one better. I flip the tire, steady it, jump in the hole then out, run around to the other side where I was before and flip it again. She saw that and was like yeah that a good one to that. So I did that for the last to reps.
Comp. Team was good I was able to grapple the top belt guys and hopefully make a good impression and get noticed so I can get promoted soon.

After the day was over I went up to one of the guys that works at the gym and said, "I'm so glad you guys got the tire. Now you HAVE to get a couple of sledge hammers." He looked at me funny and asked why. WHY?! To hit the tire with, just get the heaviest sledge you can and a light one for the girls and you'll see.
