194.9 is the technical weight so I'll be sweating it out.

Wink Update

Well I weighed in at 194, yep you heard it right, I dropped about 10 lbs before weigh ins. I hate doing it but the weight class above me was 195 and up.. so I would have been going against guys that weigh 240 or so, and there were a ton of them.

I got 3rd in my 194 intermediate no-gi match, lost my no weight limit intermediate no-gi match by 5 secs., I had a choke in very deep and he looked like he was going to tap but the time went out right before. And I got 2nd in my white belt division, I lost to the guy who beet me in the 194 no-gi match. All together I had 6 matches.

I was doing ok but for some reason I wasn't feeling like myself. There were a lot of things I was doing wrong and just had some problems acting and reacting to some moves. I recorded some of my fights so I'll have to look them over and see where I went wrong. My coaches were great, they gave me some good advice and helped me through a lot. One thing I have to work on is more explosive movement but since I just got over my knee being jacked up it was a little difficult to prep for that. Next time I guess.

All in all I had a good time and I learned a lot. Next comp is feb. 28th I think. I'll keep you guys posted.
