Squat day.
Squats: 3x10 with 185 if I do another 3x10 I'll keep the weight and go deeper
DB chest press: 3x9 with 70lb DBs, keep
SLDL: 3x8 with 215 up, getting to where I'll be slowing down
Laterals: 3x7 with 25lb DBs (20s were gone), too much and form fell
Other stuff: done

Pity, I saw Bodom, Black Dahlia Murder, and Between the Buried and Me a few days ago. Kickass show.
you know, for the first few months i listened to BDM...i thought it was two vocalists...never knew somebody could be "that" good at switching between the death growl and black scream. great stuff.

between the buried and me is more hardcore isn't it. did the crowd like them?

Yeah, definitely. We missed most of their set, showed up late because the concert started at 5 (wtf??) but still caught a few songs. If you want to check em out I'd recommend Alaska and Malpractice as good starters. BDM is local to my town, so they play here a bit. Seen em a few times, never fail to impress

10/16
Missed Tuesday's workout, I hate my hectic schedule so much.

Bench focus
Bench: 160, missed reps in the 2nd set. I really need to figure out why I haven't been able to progress in a year...
DB overheads: 50's keep for form
Hack squats: 225 up 5
Rows: 155 keep for form
All else...done

Diet could be a big reason for not progressing as much .

Plus when you say bench 160 , how many reps are you doing ?

This is a 3x8 so far. I'm debating working it a bit, though for as far as legs go this could be part of the reason my running pace has picked up a bit (the higher rep program), so I'm debating keeping that.

Bench- I stalled out during the bulking phase, reset but was never able to keep moving. Since then I've tried 3x5's, 3x3's, 3x8's, 5x5's.. haven't really had luck. Given there was a 2 month period where I couldn't lift and that didn't help, but I should be moving forward, I think my protein intake is high enough to where I should be making at least small gains on a cutting diet (sometimes.. haven't been doing so well with that lately!). We'll see, I'm trying to figure out what's going on. I'll blame the democrats.

Its *really* tough to make gains on a cutting diet. Or at least thats what I found. My body just didn't want to heal like it would with all those carbs. lol

^^ True that. I'm cutting and I'm happy to be maintaining... Something I am going to do is to start adding exercises that I practically never do...new stimulus, I should be able to progress more. For me, it's split squats, front squats, pull throughs, RDLs, CGBP, etc. Haha I know some of those exercises are mainstays in other people's routines. Just an idea for ya.
