1015 lbs x 3 Squat

i was a bit uncertain about depth but i do think he made it to parallel. pretty amazing stuff.

:lame: do you think even moving those 8 inches is easy? why don't you try taking 225 lbs, using a wide stance like that and squatting 8 inches? you have no idea the stress that is placed on your joints, hips, knees, ass, hammies. and not to mention the whole back which is supporting this monstrous weight.

I said it was impressive. Thats a freakish amount of weight.

I'd just be more impressed if he did 6 or 700 lbs with his feet closer together and atleast to or past parallel.

He's wearing a squat suit. I'm not sure but I think it's a metal pro two ply. The suits pretty much force you into that position from what I know and powerlfiters squat that way to maximize the benifits of the suit.

This is another case in point of what I keep saying but I don't really think people want to except. Powerlifters DON'T CARE about what anyone thinks of their stance. They don't care about "being strong". They only care about putting as much weight up in the contested lifts as they can within the rules of their organization.

If you like the sport, and follow it, you will be impressed. If you don't like the sport, and don't follow it, you will be underwhelmed. The point is though that what makes a powerlifter good is not what makes a strongman good, or a OL good.

Excellent points Eric. You have to take his lift in the context of what he is doing. As a powerlifter I am pretty sure he does not give a shit what his form looks like as long as the weight moves whereas for myself I would not attempt that weight (I prefer not to use gear personally) but strive for better form. Take it for what it is worth and remember that is a shitload of weight. Give the man credit or if you don't like it do better and post a vid.
