A "powerlifter" is a person who competes against other "powerlifters". You are not a "powerlifter" unless you compete and you are not a "bodybuilder" unless you compete.
Powerlifting is a name under misdirection. The sport of "powerlifting" is determined by the amount of weight you can move in your squat, deadlift, and bench press. You are tested on muscular strength, not power. Power refers to the amount of time it takes to move an object, explosive lifting. Olympic lifting should be considered "powerlifting". |

I guess it's really dependent on how you feel about labels. It's one thing to say you bodybuild and another to say you are a bodybuilder.
It's like saying "I play tennis" versus "I'm a tennis player." Personally, I don't see the use in getting hung up on the labels either way. |

hi guys...
Power lifting is an exercise being used mostly for building muscles of the body.In my view a weightlifting competition in which participants compete in the squat, dead lift, and bench.Training for power lifting is quite tough. |

Hello guys.....! Thanks for sharing information about powerlifting.Just wondering: How many people here bodybuild, powerlift, or weightlift? Thanks in advance.....! |
if one expressly examines to convey up just those three activities and all one's teaching is angled on that, then s/he can call themselves a power lifter even if they don't compete. But power lifting is a sport. It was believed as a games or a exact competition.

If I can look good either way, then I might as well do power lifting so I can be stronger, faster. If I can be muscular like some of the World's strong men (well the ones that arent ripped like maruisz lol) by power lifting, then that seems like the best choice to me. What do you guys think?
