A "powerlifter" is a person who competes against other "powerlifters". You are not a "powerlifter" unless you compete and you are not a "bodybuilder" unless you compete.

Powerlifting is a name under misdirection. The sport of "powerlifting" is determined by the amount of weight you can move in your squat, deadlift, and bench press. You are tested on muscular strength, not power.

Power refers to the amount of time it takes to move an object, explosive lifting. Olympic lifting should be considered "powerlifting".
