I wanted to add Sandblaster's review as well.. His is from the opposite end of the spectrum as I.

I am a WSB follower for many years and I have learned so much from Louie. So, this is not a comment on what I have learned from him or about my respect for him.

Darkhorse presents a fair review and for the person who is not familiar with WSB, he's right. Buy the book.

My impressions of the book are a bit different having been around this material since the early 90's. The vast majority of it is recycled from articles that were written many years. Look at the number of references to Dave Tate. Dave hasn't trained at WSB for years. The articles are written as if he still does. By the back cover's own admission, it contains previous articles.

That is just one instance of bad editing. For $50, some serious editing should have been done to streamline the reading, stop the overly repetitive nature of it, and clear up the kind of thing I mentioned. I expected much more.

Working with a publisher right now, I can tell you this book probably didn't cost $8-10 to produce depending on the number they published. Knowing that, and knowing that I can find the vast majority of information on WSB's website, I might have been better off printing off every single article, organizing them by topic, and going about it that way. At least I could have witnessed the evolution of thought that way and understood the references in time.

The truly unfortunate thing about all of this for us WSB folks is that what Louie is doing now is probably different than what he did here in some sense. That's the cost of being innovative. He's forever changing.
