right now my best 1RM is 475 for squat, 365 for bench, and 495 for deadlift. i know that they all need to go up if i dont want to embarrass myself, so i was wondering what kind of weight i should be lifting before i enter some small contests.

Not sure man, but a guy at my gym is entering the World in Oct , in Calgary. I have seen him squat 795, dead 925, bench 575. I'm not sure if this is his max or not...He is 240lbs now and has to get under 236....That might give you an idea.

But 1986's numbers might be ok in a small local meet. They are by no means embarassing numbers.......I dont think haha

as johan said: u might do well in a local meet.

what u could do is drop 25-30 lbs of weight and keep the same numbers......ur chances would probably increase. i know that right now westside is in dire search for lightweights wanting to lift heavy.
