Need to know how much cardio
 
I have put on a quite a bit of muscle i started off @ 218 lbs and know i am up to 240 lbs i need to know how much cardio i need to do weekly to help me lose the bodyfat i have around my midsection.I dont want to over do it to sacrifice muscle. Should i be going all out for 30 to 40 min ? my shoulders have grown immensly but there is a layer of fat thats stopping to bring out the nice cuts.

Any Help would be great

Run...run....and run some more.

Run for 30 minutes, three time a week. Have adequate shoes designed for running. If you do a heavy leg workout in the middle of the week, then use the elliptical on that same day instead of running....example:

MON: chest/run
TUES: back/Elliptical
WED: Legs/Run or elliptical
THUR: Shoulders/traps/Elliptical
FRI: Arms/run
SAT & SUN: Rest!

That is my typical workout plan when I began running and doing Cardio. That's how I did it. Be patient with it and your results will come. Make sure you eat extra lean protein on the days you run so that you deprive your muscles of amino acids and nutrients.
