CKD recipes
Since we have quite a few people doing CKD's on this forum, I say lets get some high protien, high/mod fat, low carb recipes for us.
I would put them in 4 categories:
Breakfast
Snacks
Lunch
Dinner
I'll start it off with one of my favorites, its simple, quick dinner that I hit up every now and again.
Taco Salad ala hardgain:
1lb lean ground beef / or two lean chicken breats (cut small into cubes)
brown the meat or chicken in olive oil seasoned with salt, pepper, chilli powder.
drain off extra oils, fats, ect.
lay over a bed of fresh lettuce (romain, iceberg, spinach greens)
lay thinly sliced cheddar over the salad and microwave untill melted.
(believe it or not, the lettuce will still stay realatively crispy).
you can adjust the meat and cheese to your desired micronutrient counts.

I'll share my CKD freindlt peanut butter cookie recipe again(off the top of my head).
1 lb(reg size jar) of chunky natural PB
1 large egg
1/2c splenda(I buy the bulk bag)
1 teaspoon of vanilla
blend
preheat over 350 degrees
Roll the mixture into 1"balls then with a wet fork make a criss cross pattern on the cookies then bake for ~12 mins.
They tastse awesome! beware they do crumble some what, but who cares?!? Enjoy!
Another one of my favorites is a burger salad I mix 93%lean+96%lean ground beef add salt, peper, garlic powder, and an egg to make my burgers..Then cook, and chop it up onto a greens salad and use spicy mustard as my dressing...YUM!

My favorite tuna salad is
two cans of white albacore tuna
two tables spoons of mayo
a half spoon of non sweetened pickle relish
one table spoon of spicy mustard
add some cheddar cheese cubes on the side, or possibly some celery sticks and cream cheese and your set for lunch.

My tuna salad is the same, with the exception being a can of corn mixed in there.

Its also pretty tasty to melt some cheddar over top of tuna salad ... and also condusive the ckd.
ok for breakfast I usually eat 4 eggs scrambled with some cheddar mixed in to the eggs. topped with some texas petes hot sauce, good god is that stuff good.
I'm also a big fan of ham steak, or flank steak at breakfast, but I cant always afford to do that.

i have a recipe similar to the pb cookies above, but slightly different if it's worth anything...
peanut butter "candy":
all natural chunky peanut butter, about two tablespoons
about 4-5 tablespoons of sugar free low carb maple syrup
and a shitload of splenda to your sweetness liking
mix it all together and eat it off the spoon soft
OR
put it on wax paper, flatten it out and freeze it to make it kind of a "candy bar"
either way, it tastes great and really satisfies a sweet tooth if u get a craving for carbs deep into ketosis...
this is the end of my second week and i look and feel great. first week was rough, more recipes would be dope!!
