When I do pull ups I control myself on the way...
When I do pull ups I control myself on the way down, and hang at the bottom position for about 3 seconds for a stretch, then explosively pull up out of it.

Love deadlifts, hate calves only for the fact they wont grow. Everything else is fun ;). But I guess sometimes i'm not in the mood for squats...
