You evened out in ten days? I would suggest at least alternating in barbell work. Dumbells are great to develope stabalizers etc. but you will see better results on over all power through barbell...

Going to the gym instead of hitting the patio at the pub can be a challange. Hang in there. It will be cold as F**k soon enough and you'll have nothing better to do than toss the iron around lol....
