Thoughts about the squat (in general). I've done both olympic with a close stance as well as a super wide parallel (slightly below still). ...

No doubt. I had PERFECT form on the bench press, but found out too quickly that doing a super heavy 3 x 3 flat bench on Monday, and a heavy REST/PAUSE low incline smith on Thursday is bad news....

LOL, no!.. When I start off, with the bar resting on my clavicle, I begin the press looking slightly UP. Once the bar clears my head, he had me lean forward with my upper body and head (so that my...

Hey bud, OHP's are a very TECHNICAL exercise IMO. When I used to do these (when I first started), I was guilty of pressing the bar straight up, essentially in front of my head. Most people are, and...

Sounds good although a three week volume phase would be intense! I would do 4 weeks, inputting your RM's in week 3, then beating them for week 4 (PR week). 4 weeks allows you more time to ramp up...

Fuck, after hitting your RM's in week 3, then surpassing them in week 4 with all that volume, that deload week becomes a gift from God! I will always recommend to anyone to consider looking at the...

I see what you're trying to say, but I wouldn't. Reason being, that deload week is considered a relaxing bullshit week. Plus, my deload after running a volume phase is only twice in a week. Others...

Nothing is set in stone. That's what you need to realize. The DFHT could see a 3 week loading phase, or even a 4 week load. It up to YOU. If you...

I'd go off of what you did for your 5 x 5 for DFHT. If you did something like 200 lbs for DFHT and it very difficult, then I'd put that into your 5 x 5 week 3. I wouldn't "pussify" the weights too...

That would work. Remember that after the deload week, you're starting off the 5 x 5 with managable weights, thereby indirectly extending your deloading by another week as Eric already pointed out.
