Why would this promote "stricter form" than other smith variants? The path is still entirely fixed, nothing the user does will change the way it moves.

I would have to agree. I'm one of the "work the muscle as a whole" believers" but I've also never really tried bodybuilding either... more of a strength trainer.

I would say decline is alot more...

I'm going to agree with that. At least a the gym I go to, people that work out with proper form and good solid programs are few and far between. I can see how its easy to get misled.
