I think you're basing alot of this on the fact that you are an advanced lifter. I almost guarantee you that he is not. And "weights for dummies" is pretty much what every beginner needs if you ask...

Well I know dips are great for your tris but you're not going to get far if you're only training your tris. What I was trying to say was train the big movements to get your body in the growing mode...

The trick is to do bench, squats, and deadlifts until you hit the magical 3,4,5. Or better yet, 4,5,6.
