I'm not really sure why the GNC worker tried to get you to buy a weight gainer shake if that clearly wasn't your goal. You could have gone with a weight protein supplement to increase your protein...

Protein or creatine won't necessarily ad weight--but it sounds like this shake is adding a lot of calories to your daily intake.
